I’m by all means no expert on Pinarello but I’d date this frame as late 80/early 90s. I’m leaning more towards 1990s. The 7 speed drivetrain would suggest earlier but I doubt it. The cranks, brakes and front derailleur are from the 90s. Same goes for the cockpit. This is a nice frame, looks to be in good condition as well, but I wouldn’t say that it’s magnificently cheap.

Thanks Pawlus, I kind of figured the same thing (early 90's). The 7 speed threw me off.
Maybe I've been Manchurian Candidated by eBay, but Montello frames alone seem to go for 500 upwards. Though I suppose not knowing about the wheels and not fancying the group on there, I'd be kind of paying that for the frame anyway (if you get me). Anyway, it's not been snapped up so it seems you're right. -

God, I wish I'd stocked up on cheap 531ST tanks a year ago, so I could have built them up from the parts bin and sold them as 'gravel bikes' with hipster tax added on.

Where is the bargain?
It's an auction listing starting at £199 featuring a bike you would struggle to sell for £75.
-
• #60560
Was only kidding. If I'm honest, I didn't actually look at the listing properly, assumed it was for the numberplate!
-
• #60561
I understand completely, that seller always has pointless pictures of mock registrations which have no bearing on what is for sale.

CX thing with Dura Ace tubular wheels and stuff. Ends today. Seems a good price to me? Thought I would post it just in case it's a bargain
Edit: wait, no, it ends in January, mixed it up with something else

It's ok mate, I'm in the same position. We just need to accept that BLB framesets are just not within reach for us.

This is a nice bike with some good spec but the listing looks a bit dodgy...
