Don't know about you but I never buy a bike until I've seen a really out of focus close-up of the cassette.

i'm 8.5/9 and 43's fitted fine...very old lace up ones mind. Had a newer pair (with velcro and rachet system) in 42...slightly too small. If that helps.....
