how much of the £3,500 upper estimate do you attribute to the craftsmanship over the componentry? If it's a fair whack (and it would appear on face value to be that) I'd like to know a lot more about who crafted the frame, when and how.
Thanks
I'll go get a life now.

This sold on Sunday. Look at the seat cluster. If you rode this and then hit a bump I think you'd end up with some seatstays int' bum.

Old-style Pompino frame and forks currently working out at £105 delivered from Planet X with the code UK25BITS. I'm tempted just to have a hack bike frame lying around if I ever need it.

Or, as many as you like until you are storing more than two in your lounge... that, it seems, is when the complaining starts.

The frame speaks for it's self; a 1980 Reynolds 531 carbon steel frame, the history of modern day cycling has been built from this classic design & engineering. This bike is the only one in the world & is totally unique. My bike has created so much interest and has inspired many people to build their own machines, thats why I did it. The price for any item is worth whatever a person is prepared to pay for it. If you are trying to equate money to an object dont ever buy modern art or abstract sculptures, or anything handbuilt. Will someone pay £3500.00 for this? of course not however, compared,£750.00 sounds like a bargain. If you know how much each component costs then you can quickly go past the asking price, then you have to add on my build hours & design.
NO bids yet i realise but I might be lucky.............who knows?!- stovax3

I have one in my living room, the road/TT version, I've been thinking about selling.
