Quote :Hahahaha. There actually kevlar strands. I had one once. Great for the vintage TT build. Did also have one converted to use on a track bike. Not to be used as an everyday wheel.
Anyone know if they were made in the same factory as the Tioga MTB discs in the early/mid 90's?
here rocked by Mr Tomac:
Im 87% sure they were

Why?
Watching Jon Tomac thundering around on the Tioga version, basically.
I am now "between" fixed bikes, so should start collecting extremely silly parts for the summer bike.
This fits the bill.

Those cogs - anyone ridden an aluminium one? Seller obviously suggests there's a difference.
-
• #37862
the weight doesnt matter since its close to the hub axle/centre of rotation, not really sure what the benefit is.
-
• #37863
Campagnolo also made some alu cogs in the 80's, Sugino had their gigas alu cogs
-
• #37864
I seem to remember them being advised against as they really don't last long.
Might be nice for a fancy project/show bike though. -
