  • I don't understand these. ^

  • Gios is mine-beauty of a bike but was always going to be a few cm too big, was just interested to see how a conversion would work with the compact drops and the group was perfect for my late 70's flying scot so win either way. Compact pro's are lovely bikes... really want a blue one in my size this time!

  • £150 BIN now.

love the little track end conversion thing.

  • mmm,i find it hard to belive!
I bought this frame brand new last year in Italy and you were not the shop assistant...

No you didn't, I purchase that frame straight from BLB.

it's not the only green/white Bob Jackson in the world you know.

  • ^I think you should go back a couple of pages Ed! You quoted a Cinelli auction! That'll be where the confusion is!!

  • will the real spartacus please stand up.

also the disclaimer on the track end conversion is pretty watertight

Although I have happily rode with the custom track ends and had no problems, I accept no responsibility for their use and am including them in the sale with the understanding that you use them at your own risk and are capable of ensuring they are correctly fitted and are happy making your own mind up as to their suitability for purpose. They are a pretty self-explanatory piece of kit, but I really don't want to be blamed if you damage either yourself or the bike because of their use!

  • Yes... call me a cynic but some of the questions that arise when selling even something as simple as a seatpost leave me with profound fear for the future of mankind so I thought it best to take precautionary measures.

I was sorely tempted and its my size so duly emailed for some decent pics/info about wheel size and they guy has avoided telling me anything and just sent me the same pic from the listing so I'm out for fear of incurring Nigerian Export Tax.

  • you did the right thing. tell them and then tell them again. well done.

  • the seller of the freddie grubb is a pretty sound person. i have bought a frame from him before and talked with on the telephone on three occasions

  • really? Hmmmmm.... Still tempted then. Maybe he's just too busy to take pics or whatever-looks to be a nice frame and he's offering the full bike for 350 but I've already got surplus. Cheers for the info though.

  • if your using a 'pay as you go' phone don't call him though as he's passionate about bikes and can talk for hours. he has some amazing stories of bicycles he has bought and nearly bought.

  • The Flying Gate is magnificent. I've only ever seen a couple on ebay, and they always seem to go for much less than I think they're worth.

  • description says dura ace hubs but they look like THE OTHER ONES . but i dont know too much about modern stuff so apologies if i'm wrong.

  • Dura Ace Sheriffs have 6 points.

    Campagnolo Sheriffs have 5.

  • thanks
