If I remember rightly, one went for quite a lot of money on the bay last year/early this year.

I think it was a NOS one that TdV were selling, I remember the bidders going crazy for it.

The Campag record hubs alone are worth more than what VinylVillan paid for the bike so its a steal but more importantly something a bit different looking forward to seeing the end results.

21.5" low pro just ended - £350 starting bid.
Might be worth emailing seller for a deal?

yep that's right. i bought he frame last week. it wasn't very well described so i grabbed a bit of a (a lot of a) bargain. went up to wolverhampton to collect this weekend.
sadly it proved rather harder than i'd hoped to convince my significant other that we had room for another bike and TBO i envisage making a modest profit so it went back onto ebay last night.
just to set your minds at rest in case you thought there was anything dodgy going on or wrong with the frame.
nice to see it on here!

I speak excellent franglais - i spent 3 years living in french ski resorts, which means i can understand a lot more than i can say
France is full of bargains - if you can be bothered trawl through this site, it is Frances biggest chain of Depot Ventes, and they had some insane bargains, along with a load of crap! They will ship within France, not sure about international - This is a link to their Bicycle stock in all thier branches:
I picked this Merier up for 70 Euros, full 531, Campag record Hubs, top of the range for the day Simplex and Stronglight parts, all it needed was a new rear tire - though i am going to fuly restore it. I also got a Peugeot Mixte for the Mrs for 15 Euros, that needed a service but not much else:
I cannot believe that Troc site; I spent 10 mins trawling through it and found some mega bargains....I must resist!!!!
Pink was the Mercier Team colour, as used on all their pro bikes that used to compete in the TDF and as ridden by Raymon Poulidor, and the bike is completely original, which is very rare, so it actually makes it even more of a bargain. The pink bar tape isnt my cup of tea, but the bike looks great in the flesh - here is a Poulidors actual bike, which is what i am going to restore mine to look like, though keeping the chrome fork/back as that was a signiture of the 1973 model
