for a cheap crankset i would probably go for this... i don't know about the one you linked but the price scares me! the stronglight one is also very cheap and dunno how long it will last but atleast its a known brand and they are used on some off the peg bikes, i think brompton? velosolo also sells them and has a deal with matching bottom bracket if you buy from them, but it is a bit more pricey than ebay.

^ can you even change the chain ring!? do you want to be stuck with only 44 teeth?
-
• #14904
until i get legs the size of tree trunks im gonna stick with a small chainring(about 44) cos i live in quite a hilly area...

To be fair 44 is plenty unless you're on the track, i'm running around 74GI with a 42 and could go up to around 80 with a 14 on the back.

did anyone here get the orrell time trial frame
£27 quid or so
631 tubing
nice baby blue
-
• #14909
I don't trust the information about frame sizing, especially the TT length.
You could expect more track bike knowledge from an Aussie. -
• #14910
Yeah the orrell was a steal, £40 delivered! (Too busy Sunday to bid/bother.)
-
• #14911
I'd be gutted if my 631 Orrell had gone for £27!
-
• #14912
Have you checked your shed? ;p

Do not bid on the BB-set Pista Italian !!! That's for me!
Frankly speeking, I also want the cranks 165/144mm, but I think they are going to be too expensive, and I don't need these so badly.
So, can we agree that the BB-set is for me for 20.- and that you guys can fight for the cranks and the other stuff?;-)
I really need the cranks badly...

can't believe this went for 460 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290318951926
-
• #14919
That is ridiculous. At least Asm didn''t get forced to buy it.
-
• #14920
yes i did! I bit up to 460. The question is am I an idiot or a genius.
-
• #14921
not sure.
in one respect genius cos the parts probably = £460
in another idiot cos its you :PHell if it doesn't fit you i'll take it off your hands (maybe)
-
• #14922
haa.
If it doesn't fit, it'll be going on the forum for £150 frame, forks, headset, and BB.
If it DOES fit, then I have 2 other track frames to sell! Both, again, for £150. Pass on the bargains I say!
That is, if it's not a scam. :(
edit: If it is a scam, then I have 2 frames, a bike, a computer, a guitar, an amp etc... for sale :( :( haha

Ebay has yielded some bargains for me recently. Picked up a Suzue PRO Max track hub for 33 squid. Result.
