Cheers Rocker, I'm thinking of runnning 700c wheels if I win. Wouldn't know where to start with wheel building either.
well its for 26" which is a bit more than 26" if memory serves me correctly (probably not, im just waiting for someone to 'fix' this) tyre clearance doesnt look very tight so i thihnk you could fit 700c wheels in there, if you do keep the original wheels; repacking (just take to you LBS to get a new set of bearings and grease it up) and if you want a full rebuild with 700c rims again go to your LBS or give ehren_fried_chicken a PM as he has wheel building classes and is regarded highly
Good luck :)

wait i just looked again, tyre clearance is quite tight so i doubt you would be able to run 700c rims :/ still whats wrong with 26"?
-
• #14355
i think your getting yourself in a twist. they are definitely 700c wheels

Thanks for the info. Just did some research and GP4's are supposedly good wheels. Nowt's wrong with 26" Just assumed it would be a nicer ride with larger wheels. Still toying with the idea of setting it up fixed, but I would be nice to use it for the London to Brighton ride.

fcuk me, £433.
what,, cheap or expensive?
-
• #14367
yeah .. some old 60s track frames had braze ons and mudguard holes. all-rounders.
-
• #14368
£433 is a lot more than I thought it would go for, around £2-250.
-
• #14369
it is a hetchins, rare, high quality,

be careful, titanium litespeeds with integrated headset had an inherent flaw that saw the head tube failing. they've stopped using them now because of it.
this was my mate's litespeed, they replaced it with the newer one which doesn't have an integrated headset

methinks it's a path racer, both track and road.
i was going to bid on it, at least £250, but it went for silly amount instead, even if it a Hetchins.
