nice bike, i'm not a fan of french maillard hubs. would be very tight and maybe toe overlap. looks bigger than 61cm though
Whats wrong with Maillard hubs? Have a couple of 24h high-flange in a box at my attic I was going to build up..

some ok stuff, occasional nice frame - but they use very cheap components generally and somewhat overpriced (at least compared to second-hand/ebay)

Do you happen to be joking? and does the seller being a tool effect the bike ? :)

the sixar is a nice frame, it as some nice details.it belongs to a friend of mine so i've seen it loads and it always looks good.
the only person who knew anything about sixar was hilary stone, i'm sure if you pm him he'll tell you there history.

- French threaded lock rings
- Even when you do get the correct lock ring the hub threads aren't very wide, so you won't be able to screw the lock ring down fully on to something like a Dura Ace cog.
- The track nuts are french threaded, and the nuts are harder to track down than the lock rings

gonna watch that now, ta! only one more component and the bike will be 100% European.
that's a shame then, those BLB bob jacksons' are made in china
-
• #13469
China, I thought they were Malyasian, or was it Korean?
-
• #13470
preeeety sure, it's china, they haven't got a "GB" before the number on the B/B.
-
• #13471
Could well be right actually. A little dicky bird told me a few weeks back they were imported from the far east, he seemed to think Malaysia, Korea though...
I didn't wanna put it on here as I knew a few people had bought some so didn't wanna rock the boat -
• #13472
actually, it could be Korea
-
• #13473
Not bad though for Eastern craftsmanship, just a bit naughty claiming them to be British
-
• #13474
I thought they were made in Poland?
-
• #13475
that's why they are cheap enough to have the cut-away seat tube, and the fancy flat crown fork and the paul trackends, if you got BJ to do it, it'll cost you another 200 smackers.
