  • I didn't notice either.
    Welcome to the forum!

  • Big deal. I was pissed. My partner injects me with rum when she wants me to sign a cheque. I stand by de Selby. Very interesting bloke. And the fork stuff?

  • I dont rate the tange forks, I had the MTB ones and bent them within 2 weeks. try searching the forum for info.
    the tange are unicrown - is that what you are after?

  • Thanks provenrad

  • ur killing me with the suspense...!

    the... f word...

    Welcome to the forum!

    That's cause you are an Essex Boy!

  • People in Essex are very friendly Pip..
    Unlike you stuck up North london media-whores.. can't give the time of day to a man wearing white trainers!
    I am so glad I don't have a TV license, having to imagine some of my hard-earned going towards your haircare products and working lunches.. we don't like your type round Basildon mate.

  • Oh you have changed pravy.. I remember the calm and sophisticated West London Prav. By now you are probably on the 6th lager and still on that same fountain in the shopping center picking the G-String out the crack of your arse...
    Sad times...

  • I walked through the 800+ car park spaces today. One car (BMW X5) had:
    playboy-branded personalised numberplates;
    fluffy pink dice;
    fluffy pink seatbelt covers;
    fluffy pink cuddly toys in the back.

    People change.. I need to get a driving license to survive here.

  • Thanks Provenrad. There's some stuff out there but a lot of it is US based. I do like the look of those unicrown ones. I've got a pair of 1986 Cinelli type forks in chrome on another bike and they are ace. The Tange ones seem to be the only threaded ones about now.

  • If you are not going to crash (like I sortof did) they will be okay.
    If you do crash they are cheap to replace.

    I hope, for the sake of humanity, your firebombed that motherfucker?

  • hi all

    i'm new to the world of cycling having got into it this year, after 2 road bikes i feel i'm nearly ready for a fixed gear and will be making a purchase over the coming months.

    this place is a god send and i can only wish i found it earlier this year and then i wouldn't have gone through with some of the choices i made.

    Anyway, just thought i'd say hello.

  • Hi Jibby, good introduction - welcome aboard!

  • howdee jibby, what he says.

  • Hi all

    Woke up one morning last spring to find my belly sleeping next to me, so decided it was time to resurrect my interest in cycling.. (it'd been a long time..)

    Retail therapy being the only way to go, spontaneously purchased 80s Colnago frame from Jos without thinking about it, to put my old road bike stuff on.. and a pair of track wheels for my old road bike, to hack to work on. Cheap fun, right. Fool! Immediately addicted to buying bits and bobs, and £100's later..

    Anyway, Done a couple of thousand miles on the fixed but the Colnago mainly hangs up looking pretty (anyway it's too big).. Wasn't expecting that..

    Lost my belly friend along the way tho..

    So thanks to the forum for all the advice you didn't know you were giving me..

  • Hi Toulouse, we always like to see Colnagos - is that hint subtle enough?

  • goes dowstairs

    washes mud from bike

    takes crap mobile phone photo

    hmm not sure if this link will work, you might have to bear with me

  • tries attachment..

  • Nice.

  • louse, judging by the saddle height, it doesn't seem to be too big for you. it looks about right? (not that i have seen you or anything mind)

  • cheers

    It's bordeline. 58cm (thought it was 57 when purchasing, but didn't measure). Only a bit bigger than my other bike, but let's say the stand over height is "touching testicles". I might live with it, but hey they're my balls..

    Here's a crap piccie of the other one (those liking freshly amourtexed frames look away now)

  • geeeeeeez, my frame splits mine,(only a 54cm but a high b/b) nearly have to stand on tippy toes, but when in the saddle it's perfect.

  • ha ha, guess I'm just too scared then.. be doing some bonding with it down in Kent tomorrow, hopefully not of the tender flesh meets columbus tubing variety.

  • Hi all,

    its great to see somewhere i can be around other enthusiasts .........was looking at the North meet do many of you head up there....?
