It's Campag innovates, Shimano imitates and Sram disintegrates.
Except Shimano have been doing the innovation for the last 30 years while Campag have been trying to copy. Oh but we invented the parallelogram derailler.. look at us.. look at us!

Hmm, I'm obviously the only Sun Tour fan here.... nobody remembers that they invented and patented the slant parallelogram without which none of this indexing malarkey would work....
Welcome anyway Jockster! You riding in anger again?????

Howdee Scherrit,
I've torn two discs in my back so I'm only playing on MTBs these days. -
• #2556
Yes but --- the views are great but off road cycle paths aren't gritted, so I've chickened out in the last week or so and am going in my daughter's car, as we work in the same building. I'll have to HTFU again.

Welcome! Have fun and see if you can get to one of our many drinks!
-

Pinches, keep an eye on the Classifieds and you will hopefully be able to find all the bits you need to get yourself fixed.

Holler.
I've just joined today too.
Once I've done my 3 postings in the nursery I'm going to be posting some deeply challenging and stimulating threads. -
• #2561
Does this count as another post?
-
• #2562
NO!!!!
You cant do that... If you read the other posts youll realise that doing things like that will get you in more trouble than its worth. Think about the fact that you will be UNborn!

Hello all, thought i'd join up. Been riding fixed for a while, good times, looking forward to some long rides when the weather picks up a bit...

dont forget drinks! And get your mug and bike on the names and faces thread!
-
• #2565
I don't know which mug to choose, I've broken the handle off my favourite one.
-
• #2566
That makes it more personal! I say use that one! But only for cold drinks, we dont want you scolding yourself on a hot mug.

Hello everyone. Been lurking for a while so think it's time I took the plunge and finally posted something. Looking to play some polo once I get some dollar together for a bike.

And hi from me.
Been watching this board for months out of interest, great topic and a fun community.
Joined now because I've come across a Peugeot I'm going to fix, and fix. My first goal is repair the rear brake so I can turn it into a suicide hub, and practice riding fixed (I'm in Hampstead and hills are a problem). Then start again doing it properly... can't wait to be avoiding the tube.

Hi everyone
I'm not sure how many ladies you have around, but I'm definitely +1 (well at least I was under the impression this morning) for the girls' team.
I moved to London a few months ago and I finally could fetch a lovely (yet rubbish, to be honest) bike (ss/fixed flip-flop), so from now on I guess I have an excuse to be here:). I'm not really familiar with the streets of London so I'm currently looking for some lads to ride with and get to know London, and of course I always leave my evenings open for a few pints, if you don't mind newbies around the table, of course. ;) -

Hey Autriche. Welcome to the LFGSS Forum! This is not about the internetz, its about the time we have together off here. There are drinks every week for different parts of the town, so if your north, there are north drinks, east = east and so on! Plus there are rides regularly for the beginner to the advanced. Most of the people on here are super friendly and love a laugh and a beer. They will also look after you as best as they can!
If you need help, just ask. And please remember, use the search function as best as you can on questions that might have been answered. This is important as its a sure way to get a bit of a rubbing if you ask as FAQ.
But im sure youll be fine here! -

how do I post a new thread?
-

are there many brighton riders here
I don't ride 20k miles for a pro team. If I did I'd use whatever they gave me. I'd still prefer Shimano.
