Hi! I´m also new to the marvellous forum you have here. Live quite a long way from London tbh, in Tallinn, Estonia in particular. Reason for me to join, was that i`m currently exploring the best ways to go about building myself a fixie and i shall hopefully find the best advice here.
cheers,
Jaanus

Hi, as most new people on the forum i have lurked for a while but have eventually decided to dive in and get involved. i always thought that i wouldn't have that much to contribute but i have managed to get myself a rather nice bike which im excited about sharing some pictures of when i can and getting some advice on what to do with it.

HI!
Just joined, seems like a cool forum, I have just bought my first FGSS bike a couple of weeks ago, up until then I was riding a cheapo crappy road bike. I got a fixie cos I think they are beautiful (aesthetically and in simplicity terms).
Pics of me and my ride r in the Faces and Bikes thread, :)

Hi all
Joined up primarily as seems to be full of knowledgeable people and ideas. Always looking for tips on everything from avoiding having my bike nicked, which tyres give decent ouncture protection and maybe in time converting my downtube Shimano 600 setup to SS.

Using the search button will provide most of your answers. Here's one thread about locks http://www.londonfgss.com/thread17938.html -

hello all, after meeting the most lovely ldngrrrl online (not yet IRL o_0) i've decided to come back and actually post more often. expect odd ramblings about courier culture not being what it was- like anyone gives a flying fuck- moans about the lack of work*- like anyone gives a flying fuck- and general inanity.
waves at ldngrrrl, jos, nhattattack, biffalo buff and jack crank
*on which subject pm me if you want to hire some really overpriced camera gear and pay through the nose to have it delivered by a stinking and soggy forumite on a flash bike.
edit: waves at overdrive too!

Well I've lurked for a while and thought I'd better join.
Have a few frames, mostly mountain bikes with horizontal drop outs, that I've wanted to convert to either single speed or fixed but have recently obtained a commuter with a strumley archer 3 speed hub. Also have a 4 speed hub that I was going convert to fixed to have a few gears on a fixed bike for novelty value.

Hi peoples.
So my friends have finally got me into the world of fixys and single speeds. I've come from a background of MTB's and BMXing and up to now have resisted the urge to rid myself of my precious gears.
I've bought an old conversion from a mate which is currently sat in a sheet having been stripped down to parts so I can clean the bearings etc and rebuild into something to hack around town on. I'm hoping that this means that I will be out and about by this weekend if not next so I guess I'll see you all bout then. -

Hi guys,
I've lurked on here occasionally for the past 1-2 years - you've been a great resource for me, so thanks. Anyway, finally thought i'd register...
I ride a 1990 Raleigh Ace single speed....Snapped the fork the other day, so currently off the road until i find a replacement fork (27" wheel, urgh.) or decide to get a new ride...

Hi. I am new to the forum (though I lurked) and fixed gear riding (in my third week now). I'm loving it. I joined so that I could get involved in rides/polo/drinks etc. Though I will probably be practising in secret for a couple months so that I don't embarrass myself by bailing dramatically on a trackstand.
