Welcome Danii; don't worry about asking stupid questions - we all do it. Use the 'search' and you'll find lots of info; anything else, just ask.

i did not have a bike for at least 15 years and i still do not have one riding. i went to see my parents and found my dad's 50years old road race bike in the cellar. so i came to an idea to fix it and ride it. before i started my research for esential parts i thought how original my idea was:D
but than i discovered the whole fixed/pista/track movement culture so i am here now. in between of ordering my h plus son rims and looking for parts in deserved colours.
i am going to have stupid questions because i do not understand lot of bike related things so please be patient.are you trying to get those stuff for your father's 50 years old road bike? methinks you should try and get a track frame, surely it shouldn't be hard to find an old track frame going for cheap in the czech republic, especially since they won´t cost hipster price.
H+Son, colourful bits on your father 50 years old bike is likely to look very wrong to be honest;

well that's what i have:
that's how the bike looked like, you can those pretty cheap here. i am using just some minor components form it and of course the frame which is in very good condition.
i am not in very funky colours the bike is going to be all black and white. so let's see, if it's bad i and i will like cycling around the city i will buy new frame too and pay the hipsters price:D

That bike looks in great condition for being 50 years old (from what I can see), I think you shouldn't touch it if its all working and original/contemporary with the frame, maybe sell it and get yourself a cheap track frame like ed said. If it's all original, its only all original once.

Don't kill it!
Sell it to a good home.

Hi guys.........new here so will spend time chasing around threads to see what's what.........found you chasing Montana track bikes.......quick comment...they were cheap to buy..great to get the youngsters in our club started...650 wheels a pain to find grass track tyres for....they are a hybrid and serve a very useful purpose..why expect them to do anything else

Hi mr bike monger
Welcome. and thank you for the many odds and ends i've bought from you this past year. Good to have a bike shop with wit and humor in its listings, not just cut and paste specs from the manufacturer.
