As if I'd be silly enough to connect my Garmin to my phone. Oh hai NSA!
How much is a tank of Xenon? I bet Russia have some going cheap now?

I wish I hadn't googled that. Whatever cost you find online don't forget to factor in delivery, loss of innocence and your soul.

Only a bloody tester would take a top tube sticker to an audax.
I bet you didn't even have a bar bag filled with flapjacks, you fraud.

20 or so enjoyable miles before my legs realised how many dinners I'd had before I last did 20 miles - followed by some sad miles home.

Slowed hippy down sufficiently for a guy in fluro on a Pinarello to win the audax. Was nice to catch up so.

Oh, thank goodness, you SURVIVED. I was really worried you would struggle with the distance, which was much too short.

Rode down to Thaxted to Marshall in our club Hilly and then up to Bury St Edmunds for in-laws wedding anniversary lunch. c50 miles in glorious sunshine. The route I took from Thaxted (Cornish Hall End/Ridgewell/Clare/Stansfield/Glemsford was proof that all is not flat in Suffolk!

Hey, I wanted to do it properly and that meant remembering where the checkpoints were. I stopped for cake so I reckon that makes it a proper audax.

I've never heard of cake doing an Audax. Something is fishy.

The first bunch didn't do the full course. They did the short A40 route so I'm claiming victory*.
*not a race

March 275
For my new year's resolution I needed a 275km ride sometime in March. Today seemed like a good day, and mostly it was. Nice weather, green fields, long empty roads with gentle rolling his, scenery, some bell-ringers having a good old clank as I passed a church.
Around the 7 hour mark it all started to fall apart with a bloated feeling that made me reluctant to take in any more water or energy drink. I think I need to use an isotonic energy drink next time.
I made it to the end, but I was suffering for those last few hours.

Random resolution? Great ride!

Random resolution?
The 275 isn't a random number, it was scientifically calculated (by doing sums) to fit in with https://www.lfgss.com/thread2602-7.html#post4014875
But yes, the whole thing is bit random :)

Went out for an easy 40 km spin to loosen my legs.
Blizzards, 21 km/h sustained wind, 50+ km/h gusts. No shelter.
The latest Garmin units have a live view of your ride online. It won't be long before your efforts are monitored in real time from EvilHQ.
Next step will be electrodes on you HRM.
And Xenon.
