• A homophobic what?

  • ^^^^JSSR and I claim my five pounds

  • My apologies.

    A homophobic cunt.

  • T3X wins February's 'Most Transparent Alias' award then...

  • I hate it when I miss drama.

  • I love it when I miss drama

  • I got a detention for missing drama.

    WAC

    WAFC.

Good that he got 6 months in clink but 2 previous drink driving bans and now this, I'd rather he was banned from the road for life than sent down.

I wonder if anyone ever has been.

  • Nah, not serious enough, British law system don't think people should be banned for life, it's inhumane.

  • He did a wheelie in a transit van though, that's pretty awesome.

  • Expecting someone Beadlesque to pop out and reveal that the complete fucking horrorshow I witnessed today was actually some kind of cruel trick, and that no, I don't have to start planning my own funeral or throw my road bikes away. weeps

  • Nah, not serious enough, British law system don't think people should be banned for life, it's inhumane.

    Wrong. The courts can and do disqualify for life - R v Tunde-Orlarinde [1967] 1 WLR 911. However, it's a power only exercised in exceptional circumstances - R v North [1971] RTR 366.

  • I was being sarcastic, was hoping the italic part helped.

  • Pootling along from Ruislip to Ealing this pm,
at one of the very many roundabouts,
dark blue Mercedes ML decides it needs the very space I am occupying.
I had drifted up the inside of the stationary vehicle, (no indicators flashing),
    checked the front indicators, (nothing),
and set off into the gap that would be there when I the last vehicle had zoomed through the roundabout,
when the nearside bumper of the ML crushed my right leg against the chain.

Fortunately we were both going pretty slow,
but I couldn't see where she thought she was going.
Turned out she was tuning left, (I was going straight on).
Pulled bike to side of the road to check for damage,
she drove away, but not before I got the regnumber.

    No obvious damage to bike,
chain chewed a few bits of skin through trousers.

Reported to Police, ref no. obtained,
told to expect a callback within the hour and to be visited within 24-48 hours.

  • ^^Not really sarcasm and you're pretty much right, if technically wrong. They rarely ban for life and should a lot more often, probably due to the perceived inhumanity of people losing their right to drive.

  • Well I have been given a reference number,
and a Met Officer has just dropped round
    Form 207 'Road Traffic Collision/Accident
(Personal Injury / Fail To Stop)
    Self reporting Scheme'.

  • Just got overtaken by an Openreach driver, I was signalling right and starting to move out, he overtook me. Annoying but not dangerous perhaps.

    Should I report to Openreach?

  • Anyone else encountered a short fat woman with a nose stud, all in black, black helmet, slightly rusty Yamaha Virago, red painted tank and one of those tall backrests, number plate L12 WHO through Brixton/Oval/Kennington?

She was driving at cyclists honking her horn, screaming "GET OUT OF MY ROAD!" this morning.

  • tynan again?

  • Dunno, just filled out the Roadsafe form, despite my suspicion that they go into a large digital dustbin.

  • Dear Dammit,

Your submission to Roadsafe London (detailed below) has been dealt with by way of an advisory letter to the registered keeper of the Yamaha with the reference made to the relevant Highway Code Rules and Road Traffic enactments they are based on.

    Kind regards

    [Road safe copper]

  • Has anyone roadsafed themselves? Would be interesting to see if these letter/visits really happen or if it's just a stock reply to appease us. Just give them your own number plate for some made up infraction, keep it simple tho, I accept no responsibility if you shop yourself for the crime of the century and end up breaking rocks in some gulag for the rest of your days.

  • I'm going to road safe my dad for the LULZ
