    Much nice
    Very bleak
    Wow

  • Top one is perfect. Really into it.

  • More Brighton? I walked past that spot a couple of weeks ago but never shot anything as good as those. Nice one. Particularly like the child on the like of sand in the top one.

  • ..what camera / film, shin?

Where did you find the Vista Plus 400? the 200 version is pretty common here.

    "Foto Impex" in Berlin.
    It's just €2.70 a roll there.

Basically I was asking for a 400 / 800 iso colour film, that does not cost as much as Portra, and is more 'colourful',
isn't as 'cool' as Fuji Pro 400H, like an Ektar in 400 or 800 ideally.
The girl there scratched her head, admitting that, basically, all she ever did was black and white photography,
but handed me that Vista, saying "I don't know, everybody who bought it came back, and bought 10 more rolls" -
and I can understand why now (she did say the same about Cine Still by the way).

  • ..what camera / film, shin?

Olympus XA and Agfa Vista 200 aka Fuji C200 aka poundland film
I love this film for miserable grey days, even more so together with the XA.

  • Yea, I can relate to this.
Spent quite a lot of grey days wandering around Berlin with C200 in an XA.

Sadly for me (happily for the Olympus) it's in Thailand right now, fed with Ektar..

  • TK,
Cheers, I've got mates in Munich, so I'll see if they can send some over. The extra stop is usefull. I'll have to make space in the freezer and fridge first though :)

  • There's an attractive eBay link (for UK) also, here.

  • asa3200. Not bad during full light.

  • ..home dev?

  • ^^ that "bankers still welcome" shot is so good! love it!

  • been putting loads up on the blog recently from my trip to america in June/July of 2013, all shot (bar one) on 200 iso agfa with a pentax k1000

I'm looking to do some print swaps soon, I'm going to have a couple/few frames re scanned, let me know what you think and PM me if you're interested.

  • This might seem a bit odd but has anyone here got any opened 35mm film boxes lying around that I could have?

I've got like 50 and I think going to stick them on a board and put it on the wall.

Edit: looking for pretty much anything apart from agfa vista plus as I've got too many of those already.

  • got some extar probably somewhere and possibly some delta.

  • the cardboard boxes?

  • Yup these things

  • got some extar probably somewhere and possibly some delta.

Cheers Joss, lemme know if you do and I'll come grab it some time.

Also have a spare gr1 manual if you want it.

  • ^ yeah mate that could be good.
    swapsies

  • I have a ton of neopan boxes.

  • anyone got any fairly cheap scanner recommendations? i'm looking for something to scan 35mm with some level of control.
needs to be fairly compact as i live in a box room as i'm a student haha.

I don't have a 120 camera but i occasionally have the chance to shoot with some so 120 abilities would be a little plus.

  • Friend of mine got a plustek one and says it's very good

Maybe this one, not sure - http://www.parkcameras.com/23555/Plustek-OpticFilm-8200i-SE-Scanner.html?referrer=Froogle&gclid=CNCdjfnC9rwCFYMSwwodFSsAwQ

  • For very good cheap, can't beat the Epson V500 (flatbed) combined with VueScan. Other than that, your option are relatively limited in terms of size. kboy got it covered really. Plustek make great scanners. Above that, all the Nikon Coolscan stuff starts creeping up.

  • I've had a Plustek for some years - the hardware is good enough for my needs but the software (Silverfast) can be a pain. Having said that, v6.4 (downloaded December) seems better than previous versions.

Try page 106 (on this thread) and possibly Tina Kino for opinions on scanners in general and Silverfast in particular...

  • I've been scanning all of mine with a canoscan 9000f, its a flatbed so not too compact, but it can do 35mm and 120 and wasn't too expensive as far as I can remember

I've just been using mac image capture software to get everything onto my machine as the software that came with it is a bit clunky, but that does have more control than the mac utility, but I have been considering a third party bit of software like vuescan so I can handle things in a more raw format

If anyone has any recommendations on that front I'd be really grateful
