  • sensiblebike?

    Audax tourer. ;)

  • Pinch?

Yeah, look like a crimped downtube from the rear. Much drillium?

  • Not crimped but gusseted. Here's a better pic.

Says MAX on the label, isn't. Unknown gusseted tubing and Columbus Air fork as it stands now.

  • Holy fuck. Dat's hot.

    My words this morning actually

    Haha, so true

  • ...and not a hipster box was unticked. ;-)

    V Nice. Look like Mendez?

  • Little brother...

  • front sweater-disc for more aero?

  • From this:

    to this:

Cheap build so far. I still need to get all new drivetrain

  • Nice save!

  • front sweater-disc for more aero?

It's a pillow but that's exactly what my girlfriend said :)

  • What's the advantage of a through axle on a rear?

Vanishingly small on a hardtail, but logic isn't necessarily the forte of the cycling industry; if it were, no disc brake fork would ever have been made with open dropouts.

I'm not sure that 142×12 will be widely adopted for road bikes, but it might be because the main target markets for disc brakes and drop bars won't be bothered by the slow wheel changes.

  • Little brother...

    That's a sweet wheelset

  • My 1st build, considering this was my first stab at building a bike, I don't think I did too bad...

  • Looks good but needs other (road)bars

  • Looks good but needs other (road)bars

    What would you suggest?

  • Looking good!

How are the rims / breaking surfaces holding out, btw?
It's almost time for me to buy some rims and I'm still dithering between nice-looking Omega Vs and less-nice-looking-but-with-actual-breaking-surfaces Open Pros.
Has the ano started to wear off yet / how is it stopping in the rain, etc?

rims are good, same as black omega v's, but silver, got rid of the black from my old master and just transplanted hubs and spokes into these
used to ride in rain on that and stopping was ok, not got wet on this yet
was out today for 4 hrs or so, but no rain
a good indication /estimate of how big the braking surface is would be t search out used black v's to see, these silvers are the same height
mark wise there is a slight black line appearing near the tyre , but no wear on ano yet, and had some speed up, so braking was tested, and fine
in other news, put a new chain/cassette combo on my dream and chain is jumping
    much bollockache

  • here's the ex, wot i took the hubs, spokes, fd, bars/stem and post off

  • Did you get this Thrust?!
