  • shout out to Nigel at camp oldy for the new rims btw

  • Did you get this Thrust?!

    I did mate yes

  • What would you suggest?

Some compact bars. Like FSA Vero or Bontrager VR-C

  • Since you asked so nicely.

Had this in my watched list on eBay

You've done a great job with it, but low pro and drops should NEVER happen. Although this is the best looking example I've seen

    Please put bullhorns on :(

  • ^ that's not a lo-pro is it? 700c front and back and the trackends look parallel to the ground... It looks like a sloping tope tube geo to me.

Edit: and it's one of the best build I've seen lately. Those drops looks awesome on this. Bullhorn would make the bike too "forward".

  • Lopro has nothing to do with wheel size or if the TT slopes or not.

Lopro is subject to how you build it up, a Lopro gives the same riding positing with bullhorns as your drop bar bike gives when you hold the bottoms of the drops.

  • It's a HHSB build. Discussions about bars and lopro geo can >>>>>>>

  • For example

That's just a a small track bike that was set up as a Lopro for me.

  • Don't mean to milk it but have made a few changes to my major project...

Colnago track forks (FINALLY FOUND SOME thanks to Thrust)
NOS Michelin tan walls (via Hillyben)
    Panto'd 2s (stripped and polished)
NOS Cinelli bar plugs (via Gaz1979)

Proper drive side for Thrust pic on a proper camera when the suns out...

  • Lo pro is a state of mind, it's a lifestyle choice

  • So sketlove

  • With bulls on it it would suck. It's only about 3 scoooblybricks from saddle to drops.

It's more bro pro than LoPro.

  • Ahhh so you ride in the drops most of the time?

  • I wouldn't say most of the time, but more than enough to warrant having them.

I could go for a short negative stem and bulls with abit of drop but It would look abit off and I dont particually like being stretched out. It also wouldn't be much fun going to the shops with a backpack on.

  • There are some lovely bikes being built up. I would be jealous, but, well, I only have eyes for Nelson. He is now finished, after a battle to get the tyres on, rebuilding the bb a couple of times due to ball bearing issues (my fault for buying the wrong size), & I am now looking forward to next weeks velodrome session even more.

  • Stripped this down and Sold off the rear wheel and cranks etc.
Found some new wheels and now just looking for some replacement cranks.
This will be rolled out for lfgss tarck day.

    good page!

  • May have spoken too soon about the comfort of these bars. Really bad wrist pain after a couple of days of riding.

    Anyone got any tips?

Got some carbon risers to replace the crashed Nittos. Really comfy, think I might prefer them to the Nittos.

  • Gel padded gloves?

  • Angle them back a bit? Longer/shorter stem? Saddle angle?

  • unslam your stem

  • Never had problems with risers before. These have a little less rise and sweep than my last set. They're also wider.

So maybe a little angle and unslamming of the stem should do the trick? Would there be any advantage to cutting them shorter again?

    I wear gel padded gloves.

  • New Bars (longer)
Thanks Agustin for the shifters is it 7 or 8 indexed Shiffters ?
If 7 I need 8 speed shifters, C rec pedalos, 26,8 seatpost in good condition, Cinelli SLX saddle...
    And My Ciocc is done.

  • Very nice! Will try get snaps of those straps today or tomo...
