Sure this has been done before, but can't easily find it -
What would people recommend for making decent filter coffee at home? Espresso is too much for my tastes, but have been enjoying black filters from the nicer cafes in Bristol so would like something similar at home... Can't tell whether Aeropress is a better bet than something like a clever dripper. -

Both are pretty cheap - do a little experimenting.

Don't chintz on the cabbage, just buy a Bialetti and get something that works.
I've tried a few others and they all seem to have consistency issues. -

Don't know your own strength?
The handle is just bolt it...need to borrow one till you get a replacement?
-
• #9196
^ The handle is what?
-
• #9197
bolt it.
-
• #9198
"bolt in" I think was meant. you can take the end cap off and unscrew the handle normally. If you buy a new handle part off the spares site I posted a few pages back you'll find it easily fixed.

Meant to say bolted.
Have a portafilter handle that is a damaged titanium conrod.

^^ Yeah, even Made of Muscle Mouse here figured that out. Good to know I can replace the plastic bit.
Thanks Lynx. Fortunately I've found my spare pf so will be using that for now. Super annoying though. Why do you have a damaged ti handle?!
^ yes.
