Excellent, just ordered a 58mm simple tamp.

+1 to madebyknock
I've now bought x3 tampers and x2 knock tops (some were gifts) and have a Hausgrind on pre-order. A company worth supporting.
My knock top cracked last week. Split right through :( -

Clearly you don't know your strength after all the weight lifting you've been doing!

Yes, I saw that too. Amazing how much coffee comes out of Vietnam.

there's nothing worse* than waking up early in desperate need of a coffee to find despite being certain you had turned it on before you went to bed, the coffee machine isn't pre-warmed and you've no time to wait for it to heat up. :(
*except perhaps almost everything else that's not a first world problem such as this.

Coffee update: I went to Mothers Milk this morning, 12 Little Portland street (the address is important as it's tucked away and hard to find).
This is a cracking little* coffee shop, and the two coffee's I have so far had have both been excellent.
Can't recommend it enough- if you want a decent coffee in the W1 area then this is the place to go for it.
*It's tiny

Anyone used an Espro calibrated tamper? Should I get one? One less variable and all that.....
58mm for the Classic I presume.
Ps - I also like the lavazza creme e gusto. Very forgiving beans. Though I am sprinting through a bag of Rave Italian Job... really dark roast.
It's lovely.

Aeropress FTW. I haven't used my espresso maker since I got one about 3-4 months ago.
Anyone want to buy one of these;
That works but is a bit tatty for £60?
