i call it a blip for citeh
and when they showed their next six fixtures afterwards that will really heap the pressure on the chasing pack

Chelsea's remaining fixtures aren't too bad, toughest one of the lot is Liverpool away. All the other tough ones are at the bridge.
Early days to call it but there's three teams of which 2 are very evenly matched. Arsenal being up there at this stage of the season is to me a surprise, I honestly don't think they'll keep it going starting with Manure at home.
At the end of March there's some real cracking matches coming up and we'll see daylight between top spot and the rest.

Liverpool away what a joke. We will shit the bed and lose against you, Arsenal, City and at OT and finish 5th
-
• #96855
Mike, that shit ain't working no more.
-
• #96856
No its for real. We will lose all of those games as our defence is not good enough and we are bottlers

From the neutral's point of view, it wasn't the greatest game to watch, scrappy, low on skill and just a bit boring.
Matic looked worth the money he cost, and Willian and Hazard provided a lot of threat when they had the ball..Y so jaded?
I'm obvs not a neutral but I thought it was a really entertaining game, even I was expecting TSO to park the bus and we came out toe-to-toe... Hazard was playing some very classy stuff and Willian looked useful too...
Next season, CornDog...

If I had a tenner for every time someone said Arsenal are going to fall away soon, then I'd have enough to buy a top of the range Foffa by now.
Arsenal have lost 3 games and are, at the moment, the most consistent side in the league, a run of form which began this time last year. I still think the squad is too thin to win the league, but they are up there on merit.

Kinnear has left his position as director of football and scouting. During his 2 transfer window tenure, in which he doubtlessly received 100s of 1000s of pounds, newcastle failed to buy a single player. good riddance.

^^ You're doing what ManUre did over the last few seasons, keeping your heads while everyone else around you drops points where they shouldn't be...

Andy - just had a look at the fixtures list for the gooners, Liverpool, Utd, Liverpool and Bayern all in the the space of 11 days, that's going to take a lot out of any team, let alone a squad as thin as Arsenal's.

Only the Bayern game worries me.

Quoted for posterity. I think Liverpool will do your lot over and Utd might get a draw too. They seem to be playing better away from OT where there isn't as much pressure on the team to win.

I'm not going to stealth edit, that's for bedwetters.
Seriously, Arsenal have been consistent at home and away. I'd expect a minimum of 4 points from the Liverpool and United league games.

was getting fed up with all the reverse psychology / mind gamesI don't think he is trolling you. It looks genuine to me that the only fixture in those four which merit any slight concern is Bayern. The other games are quite frankly not worth a sweaty codpiece.

Andy, you might be right but then again you might be wrong. In 2 weeks time you could be 4 points behind Chelsea in the league, all but out of the CL and out of the FA Cup.

Let's hope I'm right eh.

Still making it Arsenal's most successful season in years.

Hazard was class last night. He did a ridiculous amount of work tracking back and getting a foot in to break up play. If there's a weakness to Silva's game, that's probably it.
City, Arsenal and Chelsea have all shown they're capable of dropping points against shit sides and I think it's too hard to call still.
City's next 6 games are against sides in the bottom half and I expect they'll be relieved of Tues/Wed night duties by Barca.
They're favourites for me if they can get Aguero fit soon.

I've said it before, but Demichellis is probably the worst signing of the season (Carroll is automatically excluded for winning the award previously). A complete panic buy from City in response to Nastasic getting injured when they had better options already at the club.

#themikeceffectYep I've gone mad. It happens every few weeks. Lack of sleep, stress and cunts on my commute turns me into a timebomb

have to agree that Demichellis is very poor.
i laughed when his hair fouled luiz's hair.
forgot Man City had Fernandinho, Demichelis was a big drop off. City were outmanned and harassed by Chelsea. Silva had flashes, but YaYa wasn't his big game self, and Chelsea just wanted it more.

Clint was saying that Mourinho is being disingenuous when he talks about this team not being able to win the league. The squad is better than the one he left behind, and they have as good a chance as Man City and Arsenal of winning it this year..
