I'd go for a CWC over an MWC. The latter were never contracted to produce watches for the forces.

I took a stroll through Interlaken earlier today. It was a real treat to see all of the big name watches in the flesh.
Lessons learned?
A Rolex seems to look cheap next to most other high end brands.
Panerai are fucking sublime in the flesh.
You can spend 300,000GBP on a watch that looks like it came from Argos.
There are some genuinely stunning and innovative watches on the market today even if they are in the £200k+ bracket. Some of the movements on display were simply jizz storms.Had a chance to get my hands on:

And on this and a number 3:
http://www.mbandf.com/#/machines/horological-machines/hm4-thunderbolt/Salesperson in the latter shop was awesome and really proud to show it off. One of 12 made. Totally minging but utterly compelling. Complimemted my SD45 too. Swoon
In other news a small egg fried rice in the local chinese costs 25CHF. Fuuuuuu

So Argos watches are really cool then?
-
• #10866
They come with nice boxes if that helps with the price tag
-
• #10867
That looks soooooo wank!
-
• #10868
So wank it hurts but somehow the hidden billionaire in me wants that strangle wank.

Looks like a roladex...
If most watches cost the same meager £100, what would you pick and would you still choose those with big price tags?
Funnily i found a site that sells big (moody) names for almost free... I wouldn't buy one(I don't think), but it definitely helped me decide on which one I really love. One I can now aim for without wasting on others. Well... That's the idea.
I know which one I want.

MB&F and Urwerk are exactly what I'd get if I could. They are a league apart. I've had the chance to look at nearly all of their watches including that Urwerk 'pocket' watch. Its lovely and amazing, and not one for the weight weenies. The Urwerk Maltese or MB&F HM3 sidewinder are a little more wearable.

See it is good to be different.
I loathe anything that tries to be clever.
Like a bad magician.
Why have all the froth when a simple dial will always work?

Why try and climb Alpe d'Huez when Box Hill is there? Or drive a Veyron when a Volvo will get you there?
Progress.
The Opus X dial is all froth and unwearable, and is also progress.
But I do agree, bad magicians are the worst.
