Just tried on a Blancpain fiddy and a basket load of Rolexes. I was expecting the salesfolk in these Swiss watch shops to be stuffy but far from it. They seem happy to talk watches with somebody who is obviously not going to opem their wallet. It is quiet at this time of year mind.

Question: I have an original Mondaine Stop to go (they have recently re-issued, mine is the older, better proportioned version). I'm thinking of selling it. It's in perfect working order, has no scratches on the crystal and a brand new strap. New version is £450? Given mine is out of production, looks better and very rare, possibly more. Given you can buy a brand new one that for most people is identical, probably less. It's a lot of £$ for a quartz, even one with a fancy mechanism - I love it, but don't wear it often enough and I am trying to use £$ for more sensible things than sitting on my shelf in a horological format. Ebay seems to be hit and miss (£160 for one in bad shape in 2011 to £400+) thoughts?

Got my PAM005 from that site in 2007. It's a H serial number so 2005 model. It was my wedding present and came in all boxes papers for $3500. So about £1750 at the time...
