You can fit some 28c in the track forks and they're totally fine in the road forks, The rear will fit 32c with the wheel further out.

I am running a 25c Marathon plus (in off road mode) in the track fork with room to spare even more room at back of pre cursa frame if wheel towards back of track end but mud guards would be questionable fit (especially at front)

HP, you know the tiny hole on the track end? That's the mudguard eyelit.

I'm considering buying a FXE but I'm a little worried about not being able to make an aesthetically pleasing bike (the most important bit I know...) what with the long chain stays. Does anyone have one, and can they tell me if, when the wheel is slammed with a 28c tyre, is there still a massive gap between the tyre and seattube?
Yup, massive gap - PC and mudguards should be possible in the end of the dropouts where the PC is 35c cyclocross tire compatible.

looking at mine, i just cant see how a 25 and a guard would fit on the rear. Even pulled right back.

The amount of clearance on PreCursa with 35c cx tire (ver.2 with the pre cursa text on seat tube)

Have Dolan ever seen the Precursa/FXE?
They seemed to be reading off a piece of paper.

Depending on frame size and how much you want the wheel slammed in, I run a 52cm one and have 1/8" left till the wheel is slammed in all the way at the drop out and about 1/2" between the tyre and seat tube. This is with a used Gatorskin, have not tried a new one yet.

Recently finished pre c with drilled alpina fork, navigator rims, polished S300 cranks and thomson swag.

One of the nicest pre cursas I've seen for sure!

That's looking sharp.
Gearing looks low though?

Looks about 46/16?
Doesn't look very low to me.

Wat? that's mid mid 70s isn't.
That's too low. You want mid to high 80s for Newport. I can't imagine it's much different elsewhere (but my be wrong).

What happens in Newport, do you get a medal for riding with the right ratio <3

Mid to high 80s? Goodbye knees.

Oh shit is it a track bike?
-
• #1669
yeah my bad too if so. I immediately presumed you meant riding in the city or on the roads

I tend to crash, whatever ratio I'm on.
If I get the ratio right I might win somethings, then crash.

45/16 riding in Bristol #rideallofthehills

45/16 is pretty high for Bristol even.
yeah pretty sure you cant even fit a 25* in the road fork (from what i remember i put one in there and it rubbed) *could have been a 28
but the back has loads of clearance, where are these guard mounts on the pre cursa though? pretty sure mine doesn't have them.
