Any suggestions on the best place to get MS Office (2010 or 2013, 64 bit)? The full program, not a year's subscription, only need Excel and Word. Googling it seems to bring up a whole variety of possibly dodgy vendors (Vegascart for instance appears cheap but has a name that doesn't inspire me with confidence).
Ask any IT people you might have at work if they know where to 'get', ahem, Excel and Word.

Cheers all. Openoffice is out as I use VBA a lot and, for a variety of reasons, I'd prefer legal copies rather than "acquiring" them. Looks like it may have to be full price which is a bit painful.

Anyone know if there is much bike parking around parliament square?

Any of the online retailers but surely cheaper to repair? One puncture kit for £1 will do 'em all.

Ok, I have a tune I need to identify. I think it is from a film score or title. It puts me in mind of Indiana jones or a John Williams score can you identify it from this:
Dum dum de dum, dum dum dum dum, de diddle de de de, dum dum de dum.

POLICE ACADEMY!
Thank goodness for that, it was torturing me, and the two other people who have been exposed to me humming it for the last half hour.
At ease everyone.

Also for those concerned forumengers out there, the disappointment of it not being Star Trek Voyager when I cued up the titles on youtube nearly broke me.

I'm not sure you have any legal rights once the provisions of DSRs are out ie after 7 days, if the goods are fit for purpose.
The situation will be governed by the contract you made w the seller which will essentially equate to the t&cs of their website at the time, assuming they had one of the tick boxes where you agree you've read them.if <7d return postage is the sellers responsibility regardless of the reason for return but this is often flouted
TL;DR:
Restock fee not allowed
Period for cancelling the contract is 7 working days from delivery, not including weekends or bank holidays.
Notice by email allowed.
Seller is responsible for organisation and cost of retrieval. Cannot insist on undamaged original packaging.
Refund should total 100% of sale price and delivery/packaging fees except giftwrapping, express deliveryFrom the website: http://dshub.tradingstandards.gov.uk/explained
Refunding the costs of return depend on what a customer has been told and agreed to at the time of sale. The customer can be made to bear these costs if this is included in your contract terms and forms part of the information required to be given to customers
I'm intrigued as to what you're both saying. The bold bits in your posts don't match my interpretation of the text I've included above.

I didn't pay to fit them as i'd just bought their pedals new, and it's an 'inclusive service' apparently. When I went in to question their installation, they offered to fit a new crank for £5.99, which suggests to me a guilty conscience. Having looked at that CAB link HatBeard, I think i'll go in and try and get some replacement cranks (the one they were offering was a generic one, but i'm a bit fussy and would quite like matching cranks), as it does appear to be their mistake.
Cheers for the responses as well all.
Apologies for being a day late.
A couple of years ago, a family we know, with a son doing his GCSEs,
proudly told us he was doing work experience with ......... Halfords.(The kid has no mechanical aptitude,
and
had never ridden a bike). When I was chatting to him ,
after he had finished his assignment,
he cheerfully told me on Day 2 of his first week,
he was the sole, unsupervised, assembler of new bikes at this particular Halfords.Oaf + spanner means the wrong pedal 'easily' crossthreads in the wrong crank.
Do the suspect pedals have the identifying 'L' & 'R'? -

Thru axle adaptors, yay or nay?
On a suspension fork, particularly a long travel one, yay. On a rigid fork, particularly one used on the road, nay.
Not in London any more. #sob
