  • New rides new layout.
    Historic rides, old layout.
    Simples.

Not the case, here I get different layouts completely at random.

  • ^same here, totally random for me

  • The interface needs some work, I don't think I've ever managed to successfully record a ride, I've ended up accidentally deleting it or something.

  • Really? How is it that hard to press start, and stop?

  • yeah, it is the interface that is the problem.

  • Really? How is it that hard to press start, and stop?

I did that, but pressing stop doesn't save the ride. I think I tried saving a ride and the "save" button was actually greyed out, eventually I realised it wanted me to manually enter some details, like how long the ride was.

I'll start using it when they fix the crappy interface.

I'm not thick, I've actually done some user interface development myself, so I just get impatient with crap ones cos I know I could do it so much better.

  • Don't press stop, press the finishing flag (assuming you are pressing the square not the checkered flag)?

  • definitely sounds like it is the interface that's the problem

  • Yep. It also sounds like this user may also have issues in opening doors. The door handle interface requires deep knowledge on its workings to be able to use it effectively.

  • Campag demonstrating operator error? Such not wow.

  • Just found out what RPR means, as I saw a few people putting that 3 letters after their names on Strava. Not sure if they're for real or just taking a piss...

  • They're for real. I've ridden back into town from Hertfordshire with one of them before. They meet up at 5.30 every weekday morning in the summer to do laps, hence the name. He was a good guy actually.

  • They've got a kit

  • Have strava ever done a highest suffer score challenge?

I got a 373 this weekend, which looking back over the last year is my highest by some margin...

  • What is Suffer Score based on?

  • I think its their own unit

  • Ah, well my YouAreAwesomeScore™ from yesterday's ride is Twelfty Billion.

  • It's based on time spent in different heart rate zones..

  • Does it take weather, gormless pedestrians and the number of punctures in to account?

  • They effect heart rate so... yeah.

    Coffee too.

  • My HR straps are all gathering dust. Guess I don't suffer any more. Sweet.

  • Strava Prove It

    Who else is taking part?

    I am.. (my profile)

Anyone up for some spins out in surrey when the weekend weather gets better this month? That or some laps of Richmond Park?

    Cheers,

    Joe

  • I am hoping to do a hundred mile ride each month this year (which would do the Strava fondo challenge) 600km is covered in my monthly commuting.

  • I'll give it a go. I don't usually use Strava though.

  • I've just joined it but expect I'll get about 40% of the way there as I have settled into an epic funk of laziness since about October. I just collect bikes now instead of ride them, tbh.
