Just tried the first kitkat CM nightly on my S3 (by accident, should've read the version number more carefully). Nothing works.
Restored my backup to the latest 10.2 nightly and all is well.

Bought the G2 off mashton, but unfortunately it's still locked.
I paid one of those online places for an unlock code but that didn't work.
He's put cyanogenmod on it, do i need to flash it back to an EE stock room for the unlock code to work? -

Even if you go back to stock your code won't help.
Ideally mashton might have also changed the bootloader, but as its rooted already you can use the loki tool to get it working.

Received the Nexus 5 on wednesday. It is excellent. Plus the French low-cost operator (Free) just added 4G with a 20GB fair use limit to its 20€ monthly plan. Nice and fast, yay!

It has an unlocked boot loader, TWRP.
The problem is that it is SIM locked to EE and laner is on 3 or giffgaff or something.
Any help?

So laners mistake is trying to use an 'unlocked' phone on a network other than EE..?
I think it might be a little over expectant to ask them to change from giffgaffTWRP is not a boot loader
http://teamw.in/project/twrpIts a flash recovery tool.
Loki is needed. -

Yeah, simlock is separate from the bootloader lock, although having an unlocked bootloader may be a step on the way to removing the simlock.

It's all gone badly wrong.
I swapped phones with laner to try and sott this out.
Installed a stock ROM which seemed to do the trick in that I can now get the network unlock menu up, which was not possible in CM10, due to USSD codes not being handled properly.
Issue now is that it tells me that the phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked.
Gah.

Will Loki help?
How?

Set fire to it?

So, does anyone on EE want to buy a black 16Gb LG G2, running latest CyanogenMod? Or a white 32Gb running the same, network unlocked?
Or, would anyone with an EE LG2 like to swap phones so that I have an unlockable one?
I think I'll probably have to just ebay the white one.

Does the Wahoo App for Android work with Ant+ or just bluetooth? Other apps on my phone can access Ant+ accessories (using USB dongle) but the Wahoo app seems woefully short of documentation.
Otherwise, any suggestion for a decent bike computer app that can use Ant+ or GPS?

Just installing 4.4.2 OTA on my N5! What happened to 4.4.1? Nothing on my N7 as yet. I've seen some say the N4 is getting 4.4.2 OTA too...

Installed this morning. 4.4.1 was seriously shit on my N4.

My gf wants to get upgrade from her 90's brick to an android phone. Doesn't need to be top spec but what has a good battery life and a decent camera for not too much money?
Try to find an old galaxy S2, you can get these for pretty cheap today :)

Finally got the Alcatel 4G mifi on EE. Got a good deal on the dongle £50, plus double data for 6 months, 6gb for £15 on Sim only. Performance is good, not had any issues using it with the tablet.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask as I suspect it's more of a network issue, but is there any way to check how much time my mobile has spent contacted to the phone network?
For the past 2 weeks or so my phone has been almost completely non-functional. I can't remember the last time I was able to make a successful call and any texts I send are always delayed. Internet is unsurprisingly dead too. I know the phone connects occasionally because I get texts telling me I have answer phone messages or that I missed calls but this is definitely not the kind of service I'd expect for (??)£40 a month?!?!
99% of the time I look at my phone it registers no signal but is there a way to check how much time it actually spends contacted/disconnected? I mean central Oxford is hardly a communications blackspot.
(The phone is an HTC sensation, Android 4.0.3, Orange (EE))

May be useful for anyone who has a Nexus 4 with a cracked back. Mine cracked early and the crack got progressively worse. I ordered a new back from china but at the same time ordered a skin for the back thinking I'd put it on the replacement for protection.
I got one of these:
http://dbrand.com/submodels/nexus-4/
I ended up trying it out on the cracked back and to be honest then thought I didn't really need to buy the replacement back - it does a good job of covering up the cracks.
I got the titanium one btw.
Crack on.
Yeah, I just figured that out too :) Ah well. "Sooon..." etc.
