In my experience tekro's suffer from shit pads, if you used the ones it came with they can see a lot worse.

that too.... if you change the pads they're bearable...until the qr thingy pops open by itself and you go straight into a fence.

I've always found tektro brakes to be pretty good, even with the stock pads.

Are you stealing all the Sram off the CdF? What's happening to that?

No no, I managed to win some new stuff off the bay. I use the Genesis a lot, it's a great bike.

NOS Cranks and front mech are here, the front mech came from Taiwan but the shifters, bought from Belgium, still haven't come even though I bought them on the same day.

Silver Rival can be as it's no longer produced, nor has it been for a while.

You could fake the shifters by buying apex then removing the anodising (or paint?) on the paddles and leaver followed by polishing.

You'd also get the multi position cable exit that silver Rival doesn't have.

Couldn't find the seatpost I wanted in the size I need so queue my father and his lathe. Getting 0.4mm skimmed off the width and 120mm cut off the length and end chamfered/

It's taken a fortnight for the seller to send me the shifters. They arrived today but without the handlebar clamp. The seller said he send them as soon as possible...

Seller has apparently posted me the clamps now, however those wheels have sold out at merlin now so i need to find another option.

NOS silver force brakes ordered (as as pictured above) as well as the last set of rs-10 wheels I could find. Also it appears I had a pg 1070 (12-25) in my cupboard the whole time which is one thing less to buy!
