AMAZING SHOT. that road looks amazing and the light at the end is just superb. (however please crop out black edge on left and bottom)

    Oh shit never noticed that!

  • Must of been an issue with the scanner, plus why does the above happen when I quote things?

  • A few from Albi cathedral, Fuji superia, 28mm 3.5 OM Zuiko.

  • why does the above happen when I quote things?

..to every opening [quote]-tag there's a closing one like this: /quote*,
looks like you deleted the closing one while replying.

  • This is just a shitty snap of the negative, colour corrected on my phone but I couldn't be happier with the result.

I'll be scanning the roll properly tonight

  • nice, nice.

    start of effing berlin winter.
ct precisa scan trashed in ps, because why not.

  • Kboy's first shot reminded me of one of my old images from 2010!

shot on my Pentax K1000 (cant remember what film, scanned by some crap local camera shop)

  • I got my last batch of film back from my fella in Latvia. So-so results in the main, think his scans are bad though. And for some reason, the grain seems to vary massively from shot to shot on the same roll of film.

First roll of 120 colour slide film I've had developed though and by far the shittiest (in terms of content and technical success of the pictures), but those positive coloured, medium format strips of film...man! Forget scanning or printing, they're nice enough things in and of themselves as an end product to justify taking pictures. Makes me want to try 4x5" or 8x10". Quite tempted to have a look on ebay just for some developed large format sheets just to have/frame/stick in a drawer.

  • Got some 5x4 slide you can have cheap ;)

  • Don't even tempt me! I can see it being a slippery slope ending with 20x24" Polaroid and bankruptcy.

    Hey, which shot?

  • I know what you mean about 120 slides, such nice objects.

  • If I may ask your assistance people.
I'm putting a couple photos in a show and I can't decide on the 2nd.
    1st is going to be:

I'd like to keep to the theme of wrestling but anything else that would work with the first image I'd consider.
Main ones in contention so far are:

    This is properly good.

  • nefarious,
your first shot is a static shot of two men locked together and not moving. So, to go alongside it, I would show the same two men, flying though the air, so it has to be the second scottish picture.

But, since you've asked the opinion of people you've never met...
have you considered showing only the two "second choice" pictures, I think they go well together without the "first choice" photo.

And a show - well done - good luck whatever you show.
    Steve

  • Nooooo! I haven't even got a LF camera, but I would take that. Spent all weekend looking at suitable cameras on E...y, but can't justify spending shedloads of money on something I can't use.

Anyone got any suggestions for a LF course - preferably West London or further out?

Got some 5x4 slide you can have cheap ;)

  • Cheers Steve. The first one is staying because there's someone already interested in a print. I like your logic though.

  • I deleted my post but I find the second one a bit awkward, they get a bit lost in the spectators because of the depth of field. The first one is nice but they paint completely different views of the sport, I don't know if that's a consideration or

    then

For some reason it just resonated. I like the static first shot, contrasted with the movement in the second. The change of people and place adds to it, even though it feels like the same subject.

    I think you're right.
    Gonna go for those!
    Thanks everyone.

  • Proper Scan at home!

  • Just got a GR1.
Good film to run through on a budget?

  • ^^ Very nice indeed, beautiful light and an amazing face!

Though one might wonder why anyone would spend a few hundred on a GR1, and then run cheap film through it.

  • I kinda like the look of fuji C200 :)
