Watched this last night as well in the end. It ended up being more of an action film than I was expecting. Which made it boring as fuck for minutes at a time. And it didn't handle the alternate universe dystopia thing as well as District 9, which was a much more refined social commentary.

But it was a decent mindless flick.

  • Mud. Great slow film, stunning performances from the two young guys. Highly recommended

  • Watched Gravity in 3D at the Rio on Friday, I thought it was beautifully shot and quite tense at times, the use of 3D was effective, would recommend.

Just watched Upstream Color, very very beautiful but I have no real idea what it was all about, it will definitely take a few more viewings.

I'm now going to watch Jiro dreams of sushi, I've heard good things.

  • Mud. Great slow film, stunning performances from the two young guys. Highly recommended

Really enjoyed it too. Even Matthew mcconaughey plays himself pretty well.

  • The Counsellor has been completely mauled in today's Times - saw the trailer and thought it looked gash

  • Mud. Great slow film, stunning performances from the two young guys. Highly recommended

  • Watched Machete Kills, We're the Millers, Prisoners and Hotel Noir this weekend.
    Enjoyed all of them.

  • Der Untergang (Downfall for our Allied scum)

Beautifully acted and a fascinating account of what went on in that bunker

    8.5/10
