what are you recovering, J? Not a stripped flite per chance?
I have a flite (recently sent to me) with good condition black leather upper, but the shell was cracked, so no use to me. Could send it your way if it's of use?
Yes plz - want to pm me?

Will you be around these parts from now on? Rides?

I certainly hope so. Regardless of what people think, I'm quite excited to experience critical mass with an open mind. Any good rides you'd recommend?

It's been FIVE YEARS since I started this project. I knew it was going to take me for ever (as I was a student when I started) so never bothered posting it here. Anyway, here it is, finished. I bought basically every part from the forum.
Vitus 979 frame (bought with broken rear mech hanger) + vitus 979 forks
White Industries Eccentric rear hub laced to DP18
Campag Shamal front
Some random Dura Ace chainset
Shimano 600 seat post
Nitto jag 100 stem & Nitto B123's
Vintage Turbo saddle -

Price? I don't really need it...
Keeping it and finishing it off. Fork is going to chrome and frame is getting nitroe'd and then sent off for a new paint.

I cracked the carbon on one of my Vaypors during touring... They still do the job and feel very stiff but it looks scary. I'll post a pic some time soon.

cracking bont vaypors, cracking reynolds attacks, yeah sounds like you chose the right material to go touring with...

Is it the same as this then?
Congratulation on your freewheel from the 1980 lasting you this long, but it's not the one we're talking about.
Which one are you talking about then?
16t freewheels are the same thing you would use on a road SS right?

I'm not about to keep the derailleur AX because it is indexed 7 speed, not to keep mismatched wheels either. I found a pink rolls but not the same pink...

Had a very pleasant saturday tinkering.
The winter bike is slowly starting to look like a bike
and I converted some old road wheels to fixed. Thought it might be fun to stick them on my Mercian for RotFL tomorrow, so I did do.

Yeah thoses aren't cheap, brought them on eBay, but I guess they do the job, still trying to adjust in just clipping on than the usual taking the covers off, but rode them today and they are such a treat! ;)
Master. I believe that could be 2007 and therefore the same geo as 2008. 50cm ST may be a touch small for you I'm afraid.
