Upstart, do you have the earliest photo of your Merican? I remember it came a long way since I first saw you teens painting it in Clapham many summers ago.

Any chance of the full catalogue.... posted in names and faces maybe, though it might cause a server meltdown?

I've just moved there, where abouts is it locked up? Will keep an eye out.
Down the bottom, left hand side opposite the courts. Where are you living exactly? You should come to easts and join the nunpunchers or thundercats!

Gaston, are your legs long in the thighs or lower leg?

Was this on ebay recently?
It was, but April / May time. Been sitting in the spare room waiting for autumn! Not going to be a very pretty finished article but should be functional.

I do, but not anywhere link able. Should defo dig it out though - I cringe to think how I first built it up, but it's 3.5 years ago now.... Time flies!

Simoncini Low Pro I picked up last week, just thrown a few bits on it to get at idea, gonna try figure out the magic gear, also got a 650c zonda coming which may replace the wheel I got from biarittz last week. I like the risers but I think I will get a new stem, I hate the way that zenith one looks!

Sweet frame, apollo!
Speaking of columbus max, I just finished lacquering mine. I had the dropouts replaced and all the derailleurs stuff taken away by a friend.
The idea was to replicate the paint scheme that many japanese frame have, one color on the inside and another one on the outside (e.g: http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6108/6331725287_9abf5ca2f5_b.jpg).Before:
After:
The build will mostly have japanese parts, but I'm not decided on the wheelset yet..

wow sweet fadesz dude, did you spray it yourself?

Original paint was cool too

That MAX frame looks immense! I love the stays... If I ever get a custom track frame built I think I would go aero 853 front end and MAX rear.... Paint is fit too.
Cross post from my mis-named was Panasonic then Sirius now Donohue thread.
This is pretty much what I've been aiming for with a tarck bike, something that feels fast and comfortable, with tough reliable components that aren't going to let me down and that can be ridden in all conditions without fear of ruining bearings etc.
Rides great, fits great... Really happy. Think I'll take it over to Manc sometime too to have a blast round the track.

Mind if I ask why? Paint looks sweet, but I'm surprised noone has mentioned puppy killing yet!

Thanks! Yes, did it myself.

True, the paint wasn't perfect but with the transformation I felt it had to be resprayed..

I wanted a track columbus max frame for about two years, saw this opportunity and I took it. Exactly my size on top of that. I know some won't like what's been done, but it's too late for that.. 0:-)
