I'd just be worried that I'd be tugging on the keys having turned them the wrong way/similar, whilst the chap on the motorcycle goes (as has been pointed out) bananas.

Turn anti clockwise and pull - just like a car.
I did this to a twat on a Ducati who buzzed me on the Euston Road - I then threw the keys into the middle of the road and rode off.
(I really don't get as involved as this usually...)

A word of warning with the pulling keys out and chucking them, if you met a copper on a bad day you could get done for theft. Reason being that the definition of theft from the 1968 act is pretty much as follows:
To dishonestly appropriate property from another with the intention of permanently depriving them thereof.
Just saying.

I did tell him to "go and get them" before I rode off.
and I should point out it wasn't the middle of the Euston Road - but the side street where he was parking - had a decent altercation - he was unrepentant so I chucked his keys into the road.
NOT my normal behaviour - just seemed a bit wired that day...

I would like to pick up a motorcycle in High Wycombe this weekend and transport it back to Stoke Newington. Does anyone know of a good service for this kind of thing, or would be interested in helping me do this for a small fee?

I know a slightly unhinged, incomprehensible Scotsman with a huge fuck off Rottweiler who will do it for you. Reliable and reasonable, let me know if you want his number

Muff only has three bikes on their website: two don't have photographs, and the third is an SL 125 with the frame powder coated yellow.
Might pop in next week to have a look though.

regards my issue of being stopped and charged with driving without insurance - I spoke to a solicitor last night who is 'fundamentally unhappy' with the way that the Police elicited information from me during the course of casual conversation not pertaining to the reason for the stop and check (i.e they were fishing) and I should have been under caution and advised I did not have to say anything
also, the fact the that bike officer told me that 'they were entitled to impound the vehicle' yet didn't and allowed me to essentially ride off later that day 'uninsured' means that they probably again were thinking it may stick, and would hope that I would just accept the fixed penalty
he obviously can't make any guarantee's but he doesn't think they would bother going ahead with it should I contest the fixed penalty and take it to JP's court - he thinks it would be more hassle than it is worth for them to have to call witnesses from my workplace to testify that I don't as a rule commute by bike etc.
he's having a mull over details and is going to call me later to advise if I should bite the bullet and pay, or contest. To be honest, I'm prepared to pay more than the £200 fixed penalty to not get 6 points
his parting words were the Police had been 'petty in extremis' which made me laugh!

Back from Brittany - 1015 mile round trip - did about 700 miles on Saturday to get the Calais ferry, then back up to Birmingham.
Bandit was flawless the whole journey, comfortably(ish - for a naked bike) cruising at 90mph two up with luggage on the French motorways.
French roads are the best. Perfect tarmac and lovely sweeping bends, good road signs and hardly anyone else there.
Noticed how shit the UK roads are as soon as we were off the ferry!Might need to change the chain and sprockets now. And the oil. And the tyres. Might just get a new bike....

I think it's under the seat, but it all seems to be covered up.
So would I, but if it was desperate you could ride away and leave a motorbike and rider sat there, bats hit crazy but not actually any harm.
I did it to some scrotes ripping along a towpath and buzzing me, and I have no idea how batshsit they went, I was more than a mile away before I threw the keys in the river.
