That deserves a nicer seatpost.
Can we have an outside daytime photo? I'm sure that lighting isn't doing the paintjob any favours.

love this build. great use of a old camera bag.

Thanks :) The bag cost me £4 at the local Salvation Army store. Initially had it hanging from the handlebars, then got that rack off of ChrisMSG, but puzzled for a while about fastening. Found a strip of aluminum siding (or something) on my way home one day that serves as support on the back (mounted inside the bag, fixed using strips), and the front is tied down using strips around an old, broken aero-spoke bent up at the ends, likewise sitting inside the bag. Carried the 5D used to take those pics today, will mostly carry clothes and food on longer rambles.

My project for this evening after more interesting plans were cancelled:
Riddle me that.
I can't work out what's happening here

In other news, my Donohue still doesn't have a seatpost that fits.
I have been commuting on it with a 27mm post, but that is definitely too small for it, and in the first week, slipped a fair bit and now shows some nice scratches.
Might have another wrestle with the 27.2mm later on, after using the 27mm as a rudimentary reamer to try and scrape off any burrs that might be stopping the 27.2mm post fitting. What could go wrong?

Would using carbon fibre grip paste with the 27mm post work?
-
• #82539
I don't really want to keep using it, as it doesn't look too good at the seat clamp area. It's clearly being pinched a bit too much.

Pista lock rings always turn anti clockwise..
Edit, so if you want to loosen them turn clockwise.
-
• #82542
Also it can be stuck, you could use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer, always works for me haha.
-
• #82543
cool thanks, just to make sure. i need to turn it right to get it off?
-
• #82544
Yes
-
• #82545
If it definitely is a Pista hub not a freewheel thread with a BB lockring...but that should have been pretty easy to spot I guess.
-
• #82546
it has track nuts and not at quick release. a "c" with a diamond on the lock ring... i hope they are!....

That's how the rear brake cable gets from inside the top tube to the brake.
