Just me I guess, I wouldn't want to have to resort to a layback seatpost on a frame I order custom.

Some builders, Pegoretti for example, favour the use of set back posts.

Also Velo did some back to back testing of different manufacturers posts that had a common in line and set back product and found although it varied, the set back post offered more vibration damping than the straight post. Just something to bear in mind ..

Huge? really? I didn't think Thomson seatpost have as much setback as a typical seatpost.

If I don't want to have a layback seatpost on my custom bike, I would need a 71.5 degree seat tube to use my favourite saddle on instead of a standard 73 degree seat tube.

Everything about this is gorgeous - the photography, the prep - tyre valves both in the same position, bike is spotless, and that bike - think I may need to go and clean myself up - I've browsed page after page of meh to find this honey. I want it. I may never ride it but it will be loved and adored in the centre of the living room every day that it's mine.

What colour would you re-spray it?
