Just fitted a Kurve to my mash, first impressions are good after a quick spin round the block without padded shorts. seems to fit better than the SLR I had on before, may drop the nose very slightly.

If you have to drop the nose slightly, your saddle is too high.

I dunno, it does look like it's pointed up a bit Ed.

It is pointing up ever so slightly. Might drop it aswell as I think the distance between rails and seat is bigger than my old saddle. Anyway, i'll take it for a proper ride tomorrow with an allen key in my pocket and sort it out.

Did a paint test earlier.
Going to sand it back. Prime it in white. Then go again with the yellow.

Maybe someone will be able to help me here. I'm looking for a front brake that will allow me to fit a thicker tire.
No luck with the Shimano Sora I have, it rubs on a 23c tire. Cheers.

Pretty much any front brake will accept at least a 25c tire. I'm quite suprised that sora doesn't.

What part is rubbing?

Something is wrong with that caliper, or its the fork. Hard to tell from that photo, but the caliper arms are not supposed to be that thick

The front caliper arm should be entirely hiding the bolt on the rear one, that is far to high

You can adjust the spring of the caliper, maybe it has been screwed in to far.

Not much you can do with a fork that have a very short brake reach, meaning you're out of luck (the brake block in the photo was set as high as possible).

Yes should have stated that it is because the clearance is REALLY tight on those forks.( they are the original forks). Tire is 20c on the picture, might be the reason why the arms 'look big'. Seems I might be out of luck? What about a wider rim(e.g.: 23mm)? Would it change the height of the tire and allow 2-3 mm clearance?(I'm really not far to fit it) Thanks for your feedback!

Feels like a bit of a bodge with the copper to plastic pipes, but apparently plastic is recommended these days, and its also so much easier to work with.

Now when I turn on the tap, I have water. And it's dead silent. Win.

Even with wider rims, it's still a bit of a gamble, if you do have a wider rims on hand, give it a try and see what happen.

Otherwise, get another fork, I think Kinoko Cycles is selling some on sales, give them a call (and they're chrome).

Best way to describe it, is that it doesn't ride as heavy as it look.

my heavy bike is 16kg...
that's with steel rack, full steel mudguards (60mm) and a child seat, tho.
I'm going to take the mudguards off untlll the weather get's bad.
