I managed to pull a spoke through the rear drive side hub flange on Mavic Aksium, which is apparently a common failure on the older wheelsets.. Is there anything salvagable? Be a shame to ditch a perfectly good rim.
-
• #48928
Keep the rim for when you wear through the brake track on the front one?
-
• #48929
Yeah, I was thinking of rebuilding, but it obv wouldn't be cost effective. Is the rim even reusable with non-mavic spokes and hub?
-
• #48930
It is, but Aksium rims are nothing special.

Old St., ride into town up until - Tottenham Court Rd. - turn right onto TCR - turn left almost at the top into - Howland St. - ride right to end (it merges into New Cavendish St.) - right at the end it becomes - Marylebone High St - turn right onto it - (fourth or fifth) left onto - Paddington St - take any right of first few onto - Marylebone Road (hideous, but we've skipped most and with my route you're hardly on it) - turn left to join it - after half a mile you're faced with staying on up the slope when it becomes the Westway and too frantic for words, or leaving at the exit on the left into - Bishop's Bridge Rd - ride along until it merges into - Westbourne Grove - once it turns chi-chi towards the end, Portobello Rd will bisect it. Once there, call me and buy me a pint.
I take this route often. It'll take about 35 minutes.
Pints for this man!

Second question - Surosa, as a brand, what's going on there? My friend has asked me about a bike branded as Surosa, but I've never heard of them before. Just rebranded frames a la Dolan?
-

Did he mean subrosa? BMX brand that make a few fixie skidding bikes.

Does anyone know where I can buy a Velo Orange threadless BB (110mm) in the UK? Pedal Pedlar was the only place my google-fu turned up and they're out of stock.
EDIT: sorted

29ers are generally ridden with very fat tyres which limits how short you can make a frame. Just get a normal 26er Mtb in size small. -

What is the easiest way to find the CEO/director/big boss of a company? Looking for info on Breezemount UK Ltd.
-
• #48941
You can get a basic company report for free on the companies house website, this will provide you with a list of that companies officers. Its all public information so is quite easy to find in other ways. If you want more information then you will need to pay for it but it is a couple of quid.
Mind you it will not give personal information about the individuals concerned so you would not be able to go to his house and wank into the petrol tank of his car based on the info you will receive. If you want to do that or similar you will need to take your stalking skillz up a notch.

Do you want what looks to be the boss's home address?
-
• #48948
Erm, not planning on firebombing the guy, but I just want to send a letter to whoever is in charge. So preferably just name and title, then I'll send to head office.

Need help please. Any idea what you call the screw type pin-like bolts you can use to connect a chain as oppose to a traditional master link, or better yet where might you be able to get one? Cheers!
PS
It's for a D.I.D Racing Pro NJS chain if that makes a difference... -

Are you just sending a friendly comment, or filing suit? Documents will be considered served if you send them to the registered address on file at Co.Ho.
