  • Nice, didn't realise yours had a slightly sloping top tube.

    Definitely don't need carbon, imo.

  • Nice fix!Sell it to me?

    Pics?

  • My Graham Weigh road bike is basically this bike in road form. Which is why, one day, it will be mine. It's only fair. I think I want this more than your Condor now.

  • Just got a quote to do this with metallic paints, 2 colours £80 or 3 colours £100...

Just to decide on colours, was thinking top half pearlescent white, fading through blue to purple. (Keeping somewhat to the original colour scheme.)...

  • What kind of purple?

I'm definitely skeptical of the colour purple. White and then the blue > electric pink as above would be better

  • Would just be a bit further out than the chainring.

  • That's not a bad purple actually.

  • We have 3 purple bikes in our house, it's definitely the finest bike colour available. Keep it deep and rich like Cadburys, not weak and pale like Milka.
LadyLiz's road bike has purple to pearl white fade with a wee bit of neon pink and blue thrown into the fade for good measure. It looks boss.
I like the idea of pink/blue to black fade though....

  • pics of Liz's road bike? Sounds mega.

  • She's at work now with it, will take some later. Sadly no matching fork but it's still radular.
My road bike(same frame builder) has an almost identical paintjob but just purple to pearl white fade in a deeper shade of purple. Annoyingly it's in storage at the moment so can't get pics.
Her's fades front to back iirc.

  • Oh wait.
    Shit photos I'm afraid.
Her saddle height and bar angle and lack of foot retention has of course been fixed(build in progress pic from years ago). Mine looks blue in the pic but is metallic cadburys

Will get closeups of her fade later, it's really nicely executed.

  • sweet fades there Ed.

Messed around a bit in paint....

Think this bottom example is about what I would aim for...

  • Why not wait until you get the new fork?

  • i am! don't worry (:

Might see if he'll paint both forks anyway.

  • £100 is so cheap!

Chuck some pink in there, honest. Pink + Blue/Purple/White base! Sexeh

  • He said he'll do 3 colours... Maybe I can get some pink vinyl.

Should go nice with my new road frame anyway.

  • TM you have all the best frames.

  • Not all, but some.

Very looking forward to getting that Mercian built.

think I got quite lucky with both the Donohue and the Mercian like.

    You haz nice Argos!

  • Nice work!

  • Boom and the money shot!

That was exactly what I was thinking!
