It is sitting in the hallway.

• #328
Is there a chance it will be sold?
-
• #329
Probably not...
-
• #330
lovely donohue, dibs if/when you sell it!

Hopefully manage to hang onto this, it kind of falls in between all my favourite past frames which were all flawed in some way... MASH - was a MASH, Orlowski - too stiff, Sirius - too bendy and too tall... Donobru - good geo, good material, good fit... just needs a new paintjob I reckon. Fancy getting some sparkly fades but don't want to pay alot of money for them.
Fitted these last night...
Smooth rolling to work today!

black stem?

• #334
^ I concur.

• #335
but then headset too.
-
• #336
Or silver seat post? Something a bit more classy than Thomson, sp72 if you still have it?
-
• #337
but then headset too.
yesh.
Be hella dope! -

Think it's getting an inline black post, maybe carbon... Did buy a black stem off ebay for bumblebee but it never came.
Think I might just leave the jag & risers... Been busy since I got it, when I have a bit of time will expermient with RB002s and Integralters...
I have a DA headset I was planning on fitting maybe, not sure I want to go down the all black matchy matchy route though really.
More important, is deciding on a paint job.

Just forwarded this to a painter...
Would black work as a base?
-
• #340
u planning to re-decal it?... i think the paint looks fking ace as is btw especially the decals... although i appreciate fotos don't tellt the whole story.
-
• #341
Dude the paint looks sick already! What's wrong?
-
• #342
Paint is really ratty, bit of surface rust coming through... Don't mind ratty, but seeing as it's getting nice parts I was thinking about giving it an awesome new coat.
Getting a quote for something like the above from the husband of a colleague who is a professional painter, if the price is right figure I might as well.
Suppose I could get some Donohue decals cut, was thinking of keeping focus on the paint though.
-
• #343
Sea through donobru decals with a black outline? still keeping the focus on the paint but showing where it came from and what it has become...
getting deep here.

TM, that Donohue looks perfect, definitely my favourite.
Looks like my Cougar:

I wouldn't be surprised if the quote comes back around £300.
Its totally worth it though. Is it chromed underneath? I wouldn't go for a dark base coat as when its chips it'll show wear more.....unless that's what your after
-
• #345
Cheers fam.
Was that Med's Cougar?
Same builder ain't it, that's why.
No chrome here. I like white/light bikes, but I think they show chips/dirt more than darker colours?
I won't be spending £300, hoping for a mates rates quote of around £100... Not desperate to have it painted like, just wouldn't mind getting it done.
-
• #346
Yea was Meds old one.
Its the stiffest, lightest, quickest frame I've ever ridden so good.
I personally think you'll be better with lighter shades. But obviously it'll show the dirt quicker.
Did know they were the same builder? I love the oversized DT.
-
• #347
Ha I was close to buying it off meds, did you take whole build or buy it off the guy that took whole build?
Yeah I was going to say, I love the look of the frame, geo, tubing profiles etc... But the ride is just amazing.
Light, stiff, quick, agile, lively yet comfortable... Winning on all fronts.

Bought the whole lot!
Could resist the Zonda's laced to mack hubs and Superbe cranks - couldn't think of a better build :D
Might entertain some carbon on the rear, but I think it might break my pelvis as it'll be so stiff!
-
• #349
Got a photo of it as it rolls now?
Zonda's on Mack is awesome don't think you need carbon...

Is the sirius sold then?
