  • Thought I'd give a little update regarding 2013 langster, I picked up my new helmet yesterday so a couple of us decided to ride out to Hamble for a pint. I'm really impressed by the new langster, it's incredibly responsive and very easy to control (did a little bit of cross riding) offering a reassuring ride. It's incredibly stiff, that said it's the first aluminium frame i've owned but it's great when you want to get some pace going, zero flex! I highly recommend it for an off the peg bike, can't really go wrong for the price.

  • My 2010. Steel version

Nice, and looks like it would fit me. One Q: does that thing on the back of the saddle do anything at all?

    Keeps your arse dry!

  • Keeps your arse dry when you hit a small puddle!

    ftfy.

  • Thought so

  • ftfy.

Have you used one? I use it all year round, does a surprisingly good job.

  • Ello.
Can anyone confirm the hub width of a Langster 2007 frame? Is it 130mm?

    I lol'ed.

  • Ass savers are no substitute for real mudguards just a useful thing to have in your back pocket when you head to the coffee shop so if it rains a tiny bit while you have a coffee you can ride home on the slightly wet road without worry.

  • just a useful thing to have in your back pocket.

...It folds and fits under the saddle when you don't want to use it.

  • Here's mine. a work in progress.

    What are the bars?

  • Nitto B260AA risers

  • Cheers.

  • Has anyone with a 2012 or 2013 Langster had creaking issues from the seatpost/saddle? I'm getting an annoying click/creak when I'm in the saddle peddling, if I stand up there is no sound at all. It's better when I'm in the drops, and if I sit on the tip of the saddle. I'm bemused as all the bolts are sufficiently tight, any ideas on how to remedy this? It's a great bike to ride but this is starting to bug me!

  • could be the saddle itself that's creaking, got a different seatpost to find out?

  • I have a stripped down alu langster F+F, 2008 model. The fork has been spray painted in black and the strip down work wasn't that well down but the frame was well stripped. How much would you buy it for? I am thinking of selling it but I haven't quite decided it yet.

  • Am looking for another for a project , what size ? Pics?

Not got a different seatpost to try out unfortunately, It does seem to have becaome less noticeable and frequent. I think it may have been the saddle bedding in.

  • It's very likely to be, spray some WD-40 where the saddle rail is mounted on the saddle and see what happen.

Will give it a go, cheers!

  • So 2014 is up...

  • Thats ^ real nice, are they getting rid of the S-works version then? I was also under the impression that Omnons were being discontinued, obviously not.

  • I don't think they'd discontinue such a popular crank without at least announcing a replacement first.
