  • Apparently they're are missing from SRAM's product catalogue that just came out, just going on what I heard. Could just be some hear say

  • I don't think they'd discontinue such a popular crank without at least announcing a replacement first.

Popular base on what? a couple of fixie skidder using them?

  • Yes Ed.

Several OTPs coming with them as standard, many fixed gear riders using them and a fair few at the track too.

Sounds like a popular crank to me.

  • It's a popular crank yes.. can't argue about that.

  • You might need to add a rear brake.

  • Hello.

    ASW time.

  • You might need to add a rear brake.

  • ^^ You might want to look at getting some foot retention.

  • ^^^ nice, I think I've seen this locked up around Bournemouth and maybe in Boscombe a few months ago?

  • But yeah, needs foot retention, especially down Richmond hill!

  • Woah, I just sent you an email about that Dawes frame you're selling! I knew kaaaaaandries sounded familiar and happened to look at the email you sent me again!

  • Need to remove the warning sticker on forks and geometry sticker on seat tube, as others have said you NEED foot retention or a rear brake.

  • Thanks for the comments:) I know I know, foot retention, blah blah! I actually want to remove all the stickers including decals and replace them with black ones, a bit like the new Langster!

Only bits I've swapped so far is the chainring for a 46t Stronglight. Need another Brooks B17 as shown in one of the pics and new wheels then I'll be content.

ltc yeah that's me.. What you riding? I'll keep an eye out for ya!

  • This is my Mielec, soon to have a front brake I think.

  • my 52cm 2011 langster aluminium is great... it rides like a road race bike, I am convinced it accelerates and rides sharper than my ( now split and sold ) BMC streetfire...however I have put better wheels, lighter tyres, longer stem, ea70 bars, ti railed regal 'belgian sofa', and veloce skeleton brakes on it...may change the chainring to 44 ( 72 inch gear ) and try the local 10 mile TT events :-)

  • Got a 2006 Langster with the OG straight blade alloy fork which is my rainbike/beater.
    Will add pics later.
Suprisingly one of the nicest most responsive frames I've ridden.
    2014 Stealth version looks cold.

  • Hello everyone,
New to the forum and wanted to say hello. Do you have to wait before you can post pics. Just built up my Langster steel and would like some feedback. Cheers to all

Colourway isn't great but I think the frame looks good, less garish combination of colour and logos and I think it's alright.

Almost got my Langster as I want it, recently swapped out the bars for some Deda RHM01's and Deda stem to match. 44cm track drops weren't doing my back any favours, width was aggravating my back injury from my hit. Looking to add a Silver seat post to match the cranks and thats it, daily hack bike.

  • Came down with the flu before I've even had a chance to ride it.
    ex shop promo bike.

  • New stem and bars. Not sure how I feel about the bars. Might go to some compact bars.

  • And back brake too, if it's still a single speed of course.
