    Forgot about the geo thread.
    Enter the F24 mods...

One point in reading back, maybe I do want a trail in the 40's because my wheelbase is so small?

  • Cant believe you are getting another polo bike Wicksie!

  • Jones, your bike is awesome... Ride it 'til it breaks!

I have a 73deg HT angle and 65mm trail on my bike. Wheelbase of 890mm. My fork only has 30mm rake. It woks well. Not doesn't seem to jackknife even when I'm pushing it.

The biggest problem for me is the toe overlap (I have big toes) but I didn't notice it at Bristol which is a nice big court.

  • ^^^ Other than pedal strike, what effects are there on handling relating to BB height?

  • Higher BB means a higher centre of gravity. Slower to change direction, but as Spring Break's Oak frames have proven a 300mm+ BB height still works well. Being able to pedal through turns is a big bonus.

  • Thought I'd stepped into the meme thread.
My bike is awesome yes. Room for improvement though.
Looks like I'm going back to the designer then.

  • I thought my BB was a touch high but seems perfect after going for smaller tyres. When it was too high leaning seemed harder.

    Ha.
Total bikes since the beginning, 5.
    This can't be the most?

Don't lean. It's bad for you

  • where's a fucking admin when you need one..

  • Jesus tittyfucking christ what happened to this thread|?

  • I would move it, but none of it would make any sense.

  • In other news I got some NOS Hope gold annodised fork hose guides for my unused v-brake threads.

    #bling

  • I'm a Muppet with 73.5 head angle and 46mm trail. It's quite lively but I've got a 120mm stem which makes it a little less twitchy.

Wait for someone with more experience to pipe up about this amount of trail though.

  • its all trail and error.

  • No idea what the 14 has but it has sparkly paint and a curvy seat tube.

    All that matters really?

  • That and space for decent tyres.

  • I was forced to use a 90mm stem this weekend and it sucked
