Went to get my hija all ready for the weekend and this happened
Called Middleburn and they think I was sent the DH version with the longer axle- will NEVER buy form activesport.co.uk again they've messed up my order twice now. Anyone else have similar problems with fitting xtypes?
-
• #9935
Send them back, get the right ones, and never shop there again.
-
• #9936
Ooh looks similar colour to mine!

Do this, and maybe see if they'll throw in a right way up ruler too.
-
• #9938
Shit, how long is your axel?
[goes off to measure mine]I would NEVER shop there again.

See if they have some spray for the frame to stop the welding looking like some kind of nasty eczema too...

Were there any spacers provided? It could be that it's one of the ones that fits both 68mm and 73mm BB shells with spacers.
-
• #9941
You can see the NDS 2.5mm spacer in the image. I'd assume he's got the other 2.5mm and the 1mm "e-mount derrailieur" spacer in there too, otherwise the centre spacer tube would stop it from screwing all the way in.
-
• #9942
On my middleburn cranks one side has a spacer on a thread that you screw in and out to match whatever size of BB you have.
-
• #9943
That threaded bit is a bearing pre-loader, not a spacer. Its to make sure there's the right amount of side-load on the bearings, Too much and it fucks the bearings, too little and it wobbles about.
-
• #9944
DH cranks are 83mm BB and have a larger Q-factor. Send them back.

Emmet's bike stolen from Cosmic fb page

fuck your kidding. and while i'm here ... looks fucking mental emmet. rake flat pedals humungo mallet. Hope it comes back buddy. +
-
• #9947
Thanks for the replys guys. I'm using two spacers on the bb so that its the same as having a 73mm shell and there's still a shitload of room there. For sure they sent me cranks with the longer DH axle, I'm not posting anything back to the UK as Norwegian postage is super slow, really expensive and truly skilled at losing things too! Gonna try get it sorted with the Norwegian supplier instead of fapping about with activelybadserviceNEVEREVERgoingbacktheresport.co.uk again.
And jess I think the ral is mint green? Maybe they're twins

Not actually stolen B. Stolen as in internet piracy, not the swashbuckling bike thief type.

MTB HT2 BB on an 73mm shell should have a 1mm spacer on the drive side.
On a 68mm shell it should have 2.5mm + 1mm on the drive side and 2.5mm on the other. -

Em, I think that's a 83mm DH cranks that Shane has. So its not a matter of spacers.
Here is a polo bike
And Max Power is doing Coupling
