  • I'm hoping to go to Primavera Sound in Barcelona this year, with a friend and his missus.
    Excited about it.

Barcelona is a great city, and when I went to Sonar it was all sorts of late night epic..

Hoping this will be the same. I may have work at the same time, so there maybe some shifting of stuff to sort.

Still makes me happy thinking about it though..

Your friend sounds like a great guy. Probably unfeasably talented and devastatingly sexually attractive too I'll bet.

  • I have no idea why I am on their mailing list, but Wireless are trying to persuade me to go to what sounds like the shittest festival in history.
Not content with the headlines of Justin Timberlake and Jay Z, they are now attempting to woo me with the added attraction of Will.i.am.

    Shuddering fuck...

  • Looking at that line up it would appear there is some kind of Guitar amp ban going on i don't know about.

  • Wasn't sure if here or Hipster Thread

    Achingly try-hard festival cunts!

    number 17 though....

Fuckin A, only just saw this. Thanguvermuch jimmy.

    I particularly like the name:

Magic Fox Vintage Smoothie Boutique Urban Forest Pop Up Chill Retreat

  • 28 actually all have late stage muscular dystrophy in their thighs

  • If you fancy venturing further afield then try Knockengorrach Festival, beautiful Scottish countryside, laissez faire attitudes and a lovely vibe. Tea a plenty, homemade wines, ladies in sheepskins and a step away from the cash grabbing teeny crowds, yurts, arts, reggae, dub, ska, folk, a butt naked sauna.... worth a visit just for the butt naked sauna and the cooling dip in the river.

Loads of vegans though - cant have it all your own way.
Knockengorroch is an awesome festival! so so different to any other fest out there and everyone seems happy to talk to everyone. only downside is there's not much to do after dark apart from the dance tent and Weirdigans (the latter is my favourite by far). was my first year last year and I worked as a steward, gave me a chance to appreciate how the festival works (ramshackled doesn't even come close), but have paid for my ticket this year. cannae wait.

  • I went to Traena festival in Norway. Proper cunty. It was great.

  • Is BOOM festival only on every second year???

    Google makes me think so?

  • ^ Pretty sure that's right. At least psy-trance rave-ups in mainland Europe are still relatively unsullied by festi-commercialism...I think. Been a while though.

  • weeps

  • Boom is definitely bi-yearly. Next one is next august I think

  • anyone want to come to sineater in shropshire?
    http://www.sineater.co.uk/

the area is super, great for cycling

  • Never trust a hippy. I got fleeced by hippies trying to hitch out of Glasto some years ago. Twenty three to be exact.

    I never went back.

My better half spotted a Twitter comment this week, presumably from a young person, along the lines of 'my rents are at Glasto, I am NOT'. Says a lot that radio 4 Today have been broadcasting from there this weekend.

  • £200 gets you all the way from 'cunt gettin' eaten' to 'god getting bothered'
(Azealia Banks to Songs of Praise)
    Rip Off

  • £200 to see her, no thanks.

  • This weekend I will be at Kelburn, local bands, local sound systems, loads of folksy things to do all set in a castle estate. Aimed at responsible party goers. Cant wait to see what the vibe is like.

Oh and Mr Scruff is headlining.

And the line up by stage and day with set times is on the website to print out and keep, telling me what time the acts I have paid to see are playing.

    Other festivals take note.

  • ^ chilled out and sexy?

  • Seeing Charles Bradley @The Love Supreme, this weekend, should be pretty chilled out
