Got some arm/leg warmers, compressions and overshoes. I picked up a pair of the shoes; they weigh more than my bloody climbing boots, FFS. Cheap though.

A bit late to the party this year, but I picked up some arm warmers and a compression top.
The compression top is a medium, but seems to be nicely and usefully tight rather than face-pucingly tight.
I got arm warmers in L/XL and they seem to slip down a bit. The shame of it.

A very nice lady said to me this morning while stopped at a crossing "Where did you get those gloves, they look really nice!"
"Aldi, £3.99 and I've got 3 pairs!"
They are indeed very nice and warm, don't get too sweaty, and look good, will see how long they last!

They were £4.99 in mine, the ones with hi-vis strips and a sweat patch to wipe your brow?

ah, maybe it was £4.99!
(lost track of what I spent :S )

anyone knows if Aldi is still doing this bike stand? Cheers

Very unlikely. They have a limited amount of stock that they release in one theme week. If it's not sold within a couple of weeks, they reduce it until it goes. They aren't interested in keeping things in stock, just shifting as many of an item as quickly as they can.
There's a chance thee will be more in around April/May, but I wouldn't rely on it, as they can be a bit random as to what they have in each round of offers.

you can buy them on ebay pretty cheap, same item

Cheers guys, I went round to the store in Old Kent Road this evening to try my luck, and found a half open box sitting amoung seas of Chirtmas crap, it was £19.99.

^ I got one of them stands - alright, does the job

Have you bolted it to the wall? I am debating whether or not it's worth the hassle... that is coz I don't have a drill...
-
• #189
Nah, it sits up against wall fine. The only issue is one of the arm bits never fitted right from the off - the lug bit that slots in the hole on the frame was deformed - still, it works kind of ok just bashed in at a bit of an angle, but does fall off if I forget to place bike in gently
other than that pretty good for the money

I do notice mine is not that well made but then it's only £20, so can't complain.

Softshell/gilet could be a decent buy if last years ia anything to go by. The "premium" jersey is a new one, but no info on material.

OKR Aldi quickly filled with cyclists at 8 o'clock this morning - I went in to pick up some kit for son #2 who is doing the IoW Randonnee on Sunday and until today had no cycling-specific clothes. He'll hate the way it looks.

The rucksacks look good.

I've had a crane zip up windproof jacket for a few years now, bought for commuting duties but then tore the front out of my proper jacket (endura job) and the aldi one took over all bike jacket duties. Honestly its been great, doesn't fit anywhere near as neatly as the endura but it has the same amount of windproof/keep the rain out/ allow the sweat out factors, decent length at the back too.
The waterproof in a sack looks OK will report back if I find one, right now on a serious budget so if it keeps the summer rain out then it'll do perfic

Picked up the ultra lightweight jacket this morning. Looks good in black and red and will be ideal for the odd chilly morning before packing away into a jersey pocket.
The shorts and socks look decent too.

Aldi have a bunch of Rapha rip offs in today. I've just bought one of the Merino 'commuter' jerseys and it's really, really good (especially for £20). Also, nice casual/commuter shorts that seem solid.
Cycled down to the old kent road store. Managed to get some cycling shoes and jacket. So far so good with these.
