  • Yeah overheating at speed might be it running lean at the top end. Didn't you recently get a tune up at Minispeed?

Mine used to run cooler at that sort of speed because it was setup a little bit richer at the top end.

  • Yes I did, ill give them a ring

  • offset black square it is! but black and silver or black and white??

Unless it's pre 1973, black letters on a white background.

  • Watching 24hrs in A&E (bear with me)....

There is an unfortunate chap who has been in a car crash. He works for Volvo, was out driving a friend's sportscar (they didn't say what it was) when he had a head on collision with another car that was overtaking a bus. The car he hit was a Volvo. The man's name is Neil. Neil now has titanium medical implants.

This is all a bit spooky.

I would put a picture of the guy up here which would blow your rmind even more but that will have to wait until it's out on 4OD

  • Also, if you have a heating up issue that you want to solve with the vented bonnet, it's better to fix it properly.

Nah, just take the bonnet off. That's what they always do on Roadkill....

  • Dunno if you saw on the spotted thread but I rode past you on Tuesday morning NH. At the lights on upper street just past Union chapel! Would have Das'd you but foresaw a lurid powerslide and scattering peds....

  • Should be a new car thread thing 'DAD' do a drift!

Ha. People trying to look like they've got mad powwweeerrrr.

    I seen it.

  • If it isn't a fueling issue, the overheating could be possible cavitation from the water pump. Have a midget that does that, also check that it may have a winter thermostat, as you can get two different temperature ranges and sometimes you can be sold the wrong one.

  • Cars definitely look better without a front numberplate, or with a small Italian style one. I had mine like this for some time without much attention from the law. When they eventually caught up with me I was given a producer to get it refitted.

  • Another pair of pants ruined...

  • mother of god

  • Fuck knows, I did that one exactly as Tom said.

  • well off to minispeed this morning again, car playing up encore une fois.
    doesn't idle without choke
    brake servo gone
who know's what more could be wrong....
just cant wait till im 20 so i can drop in a 1330

  • my guess: the vacuum pipe from the manifold to the carb has come off

  • Ding ding we have a winner! Also needed a new servo

  • Acquaintance is offering a Volvo 240 estate, manual, only about 65k on clock. Moneys dunno, would hope sub- £1K-ish. Would I be nuts?
