Only recently come across that building, used to be quite nice but kids have done a good job on burning the crap out of it

Canon G1X or G15?
I have a G11, but crushed it in an electric seat on a flight...
Recommendations please, photo people!

would this have been better with less ISO and more aperture? or the opposite? I'm a n00b by the way!

If the camera is on a steady surface or tripod then iso 100 and more aperture would have been better but anything that moves would have blurred slightly, trees in the wind etc. Nice shot though!

G1X, large sensor always win.
G15's sensor is 1 1/7", you get the picture;

You should just go out and play around loads with the settings, make a note of each one and see how they differ. You'll be surprised how often theoretically 'better' settings will actually make a less interesting picture.
Don't forget to think loads about composition - don't know if this was just a test shot for ISO/aperture but with a tighter crop (less distracting foreground) this could be a stunner. -

Good tips, playing around give you an idea of how it work and what will it achieved, far better (if a bit more time consuming) than reading up all those photographic book on exposure.

It really is a great kit and I'd love to keep it, but I know I'll never use it.
Anyone have any case recommendations for an X100? Not the leather Fuji case, more like a small padded pouch or something.

Just picked up a Canon 600D with bundled lens, and a 1.8f prime. Is there anything I should do to this badboy before I give it to the missus as a present? She wants to do film making stuff, is there some hack I should get set up for her or anything?

You might get a magic lantern hack for the canon. You'd need to investigate it.
