I'll ask then shall I? Neil, I take it Two Omegas is ok?
Yes, just shaken up as you would imagine.

When they do give a fuck, that's normal.
It's abnormal for a driver/cyclist incident.
Yeah they said on the phone that there was little they could do to prove he was driving dangerously but they would flag the Reg of the vehicle and have a word with the driver.
I figured that would be the end of it but then they called back the next day asking if I was willing to give a statement.

He has probably told them you pulled him out of the van and assaulted him, then sold his children into slavery.
If the questions appear to be coming from ANY direction other than, "explain how the cunt tried to kill you" tell the police to get the hell out of your house and refuse to answer any more questions without a solicitor.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the Police anyway so if it doesnt appear like they are trying to help then I'll swiftly evict them from the premises.

Some cunt on the other side of the road over took a bus by driving straight at me about 3 seconds after leaving my house this morning, no need to overtake either.
Also dobbed in a guy that bought a bike from my shop earlier for driving stoned, fucking taxi driver too, skinning up in his car out front with mega red eyes. -

Police got in contact, the vehicle is not registered to anyone at the moment so it's impossible for them to track who the driver was.
I asked if it should be on the road if it isnt registered to anyone and they said it could possibly have just traded owners and the database hasnt updated yet, or its being driven without insurance.

Oh, well, that's ok then. Good old plod. Another thrilling crime solved!

Just reported a Dangerous HGV driver to PoPo. Anyone else who was cycling from Lea Bridge Road through to Dalston Junction via Hackney Downs, I saw a fair few cut up by this fool, please report it. (as i already have)
I challenged him at DJ as the lights were red, apparently, this driver seems to think cyclists should be no more than 6 inches from the curb no matter what the road surface. he also thinks it's fair game to swerve in realy sharp on cyclists - including a lady cyclist who screamed at what nearly happened to her. Sitting within inches of my rear wheel from Dalston Lane near Travis Perkins and up to Dalston Junction I stayed about 4 foot from the curb - apparently I have no right to be there and deserve to be knocked off! Said driver seemed to think he did nothing wrong, was perfectly in his right to use the road and that all cyclists should 'fuck off and die'...... No level of interaction in a conversation, every question answered with fuck off, two other cyclists also received the same vitriol of abuse.......So he's reported. Principally because he's dangerous, and an utter cunt.
(Huge Tipper type veichle with double axle steering)Any chance you have the company name? I would go through their legal dept if so - seems to work in my experience..
Also in my experience, the police will do absolutely nothing, They are just there for the pension. They will say "It's not our job", or "You imagined it", or "We'll look into it" (and then lose the paperwork, if there was any, if they even have the wit generate paperwork) or laugh, or snigger and make lewd remarks..
I would be willing to pay into a fund for civil prosecutions at this point. There seems no other way.
RIP Daniel Cox, mown down at Dalston Junction by one such as this.

X595 HNH
Red bmw being driven trough kings cross by some utter weapon on the phone.
I know that coming down greys Inn road and swinging onto Euston Road is a bit of a mess, but how can you not notice swinging across 3 lanes of traffic? And then always charming to be given the finger as you go back to ask what the fuck?
Only been back on the bike for a week and so many bellends already. -

Last week I was harassed by a Horning-Bully driver near the Royal London, driving a Tower Hamlets bin wagon, contractors Veolia. After he'd forced past he accelerated away for 50m until the next bike was 'obstructing' him.
With the traffic stopped, abuse was exchanged and I wound him up 'miming' the act of remembering his reg. number. That evening, reading a thread like this, I found that I could remember some of the reg, found Veolia's web contact page and informed them, I though largely a cathartic exercise.
Next working day I had a call from a senior manager...a good egg, taking it very seriously.
So I sang him the chorus of "There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out". -

Veolia are fucking useless. My work cancelled our contract with them but they still kept turning up, even months later and having to tell many different drivers many times.

They are shit at their job, but they do discipline drivers who get complaints.
And will black list drivers who repeatedly get complaints (IIRC three complaints about two different events in six months was a stackable offence).

Good. How do these dimwits 'not see' that in doing their job they are representing a large and visible Company?
Addison Lee's always badly driven Galaxys / Vitos will be next, I think...FFS!

To be fair, Addison Lee improved quite a considerably amount since last year.

A lot of whingers on this thread. The danger is part of the fun - so don't blame people for not respecting the drama of your commute...

I'm new so can not start a thread but thought I would point out some dangerous attacks along Regents Canal. In fact I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned here.
It appears lone females are being sexually attacked in Hackney and Islington. Please be careful.
Police are appealing for information to trace a man who sexually assaulted a young woman on Regents Canal, N1.
On Tuesday 16 April at approximately 9pm, while out for her daily run along Regents Canal, a 20 year old was grabbed around her waist by the suspect and dragged to the ground. In an attempt to escape the suspect, she threw herself into the canal and was helped out of the water by a passerby.

I know what you mean, but when an artic bombs past you at 50 with a couple of feet to spare, it stops being fun and gets a bit scary.

I just saw this on a Facebook page:-
I sent a video link to the director of Philpott & Co Painting Contractors of High Wycombe and received this response:
Dear Sir
Thank you for forwarding your video of the events on Saturday on the bridge over the M4. I have spoken with the driver at length this morning and he is suitably embarrassed, and a little upset.
We apologise unreservedly for his poor driving.
As a motorcyclist who bangs on constantly about poor car drivers it was a bit of a wakeup call.
He is also in trouble for using the van at the weekend to go fishing.
All in all I do expect his driving to improve.Regards,
M*ck Ph*lp*tt

Chuckle. Oh dear.
Good response from the director, though.
Ah yes- I would like to purchase that, along with the accompanying materials if ok?
