the milwaukee is worth every penny, it's super good. I see little point spending less than 100 on a jacket, never seen anything for less that wouldn't be a waste of money in the long run, unless it's on heavy discount / second hand

Yes, Hilltrek do a recreation of the Greenspot cycling jacket in Double Ventile.
It is amazing, the fabric is one of the first ever purpose designed technical fabrics, pure untreated cotton yet it becomes waterproof when wet.
Hilltrek are fantastic, garments are made to order. If you ask nicely they will use a contrasting colour for the lining too, they also added cable holes to the pockets so I could run earphone cables inside the jacket.

Got rained on while wearing my new Harrington jacket from Vulpine today. Got hailed on too for that matter. Everything beaded up very impressively in its first wet test, the epic cotton stuff seems to work! Will see if it can cope with more than 20 mins rain before too long I'm sure, but looking good so far. Nice one Nick!

Has anyone here used a Chrome Storm jacket? They look quite nice.. my Gore Bike Path jacket has given up the ghost I think. It's always been a bit on the warm side anyway.

My Swrve Millwaukee has served me well threw two winters its warm and is waterproof has good ventilation and you can wear it down the pub!
Has any one got a suggestion for something similar for a spring/summer jacket, something I can keep in my bag and get out when the heavens open or when it gets chilly late on in the evening. Ta

I am thinking of the Swrve Millwaukee ES for my next jacket with maybe a summer backup.
Thing is I am starting to look more and more like a true roadie, but I am trying to resist lycra shorts on my commute and wear baggie's instead. Would be nice to wear something that can look good on and off the bike and can take some off roading also.

Rapha touring shorts? Or Swrve shorts too?
-
• #592
Can easily wear both over lycra.

Just some Altura shorts, that are starting show signs of use now.
But would like to get a jacket that can be used on and off road etc. and not have to worry about it getting muddy.

Just bought this for the winter
The sides are not windproof, so it breathes amazingly well for the warmth

Looks good, have you tried riding with the hood under the helmet? How did you get on if yes?
Also, how hot are you getting, looks like it has some proper filling inside!
Thanks all, dam why are these jackets so priceyyyyy
