  • Woah, I missed this orange update, looks great! Agree about getting a black chain though, you know it's right...

  • dem wheelz are sweet as is the bike. jelly.

  • Maiden voyage, rides as great as I remember :)

    List of wants:

    • BMW stickers!!!
    • Thomson stem
    • Strong V grips/Nitto bar ends
    • Sugino crank caps
    • Black chain
    • Atomic22 locks for seatpost and front wheel
    • Maaaybe new saddle..

    Phew!

  • Wowee, the seat tube indeed really slack! it look amazing.

  • its the perspective, look at the pictures above

  • are you getting a brake? Ryan @oak cycles can remove the brake mounts if not. then you can get the forks painted to match the frame ;)

  • Yeah think the photo may be overexagerrating the slackness but it def does sit a lot further back than all my other bikes..
No brakes these days but going to leave the cantis as if I ever take her back home to rainy Scotland they'll def be needed!
Need to install my Royce BB now and sort out gearing..

  • Ti seatbolts bought as the original Thomson ones rounded off. And a 9g weight saving ;)

  • love the irony of trying to make a gangsta build light ;)

  • Haha I know especially by 9g ;)!

  • Chainring needs changed and a couple of other tweeks...

  • Love it with the bull horns, suits it more than risers if thats possible.

  • Looks like you've done a great job. Kinda make me want to refurbish mine!

  • Some self-gratifying shots. First is w my bro's V2 outside Chinese local. Rest from today's cycle out to Windsor and back. Runs smooth as butter and soaks up the miles like a sponge, amazing!

  • This is so awesome in real life

  • ^cheers mate, appreciated.

Here's the final bar/stem collection :) Cheers dakin for the final bit!

  • Nice bars, questionable bar tape.

What's happening with the pink machine?

  • All look good, other than the Mash bars. Which I also think don't suit the build that well. Gangsta 'Tracks' were definitely made for risers.

  • Cheers boys. Yeah the bartape was old stuff lying about, really want the Lizardskin stuff but want to make sure I'm happy w the bars first..
I agree that the Mash bars don't look the best but they ride amazingly well especially for a bit more distance.
Not quite sure about the Roberts yet, it's been stripped for parts and in retirement for the moment as I'm really enjoying the V1 just now so when I get the energy/time I'll see what I'm going to do w it..

  • ... and the Gangsta feels like it "fits"?

    No sliding off the saddle?

  • All look good, other than the Mash bars. Which I also think don't suit the build that well. Gangsta 'Tracks' were definitely made for risers.

What are you on about Jake! I love the look of this with bull horns.

  • Yeah it's always fitted to perfection and just felt 'right' if you know what I mean.. Maybe it's all in my head w the Roberts but it just never sat right from the start. Going to give it another shot soon so shall see!

  • tom, you stripped the roberts?
I am still lusting after your hubs, but not sure if bothered enough to unlace and offer you px for high flange black phils...

  • Hey buddy, you well? The front hub was sent away to Mack a few months ago to sort the front axle and still not heard back from him. Let me see how everything goes with the bike and when the hub comes back and we can talk ;)
